So it draws me back to the question of "what did the templars find when they occupied King Solomon's Temple"?

Why are you so convinced that the story and the temple is real? You actually believe that the Templars occupied Solomon's mythical temple, yet, do you know wherethe templeis or even where it used to be? If so, then you will relieve muchheadache from Wetern archaeologists who have been trying to find Solomon's temple for hundreds of years in West Asia (Palestine) now. Their religious ego (and yours) inhibits them from the realization that it never existed.

We now come to the famous Crusades, the real origin or cause of which, in modern times, has never been understood. They will found to occupy a prominent place in the complete development of my system, and particularly of the tenth Avatar, and will lead to a variety of matters which will greatly surprise my reader.
In the time of Richard the First, about A.D. 1189, a general belief prevailed that the end of the world drew near, a belief which, in a great measure, caused the crusades to Palestine, where the devotees expected the Saviour to appear. This is attested by St. Bernard of Clairvaux, and was foretold by Joachim, Abbot of Curacio in Calabria,* a most renowned interpreter of prophecy in those days. Antichrist was to appear at ANTIOCH, and the crusade was the gathering together of the kings of the earth to the battle of the great day of God Almighty.** It seems from the accounts that the possession of Antioch was made a great point, almost as much so, indeed, as that of Jerusalem. It was among the first cities taken by the crusaders.
* Roger Hoveden, ap. Script. Post Bedam, p.681.
** Rev. xvi. 12, 14; Nimrod, Vol. III. p.393.
Various reasons have been given to account for the crusades, but these were the true ones. …

Anacalypsis: An Attempt To Draw Aside The Veil Of The Saitic Isis; Or An Inquiry Into The Origin Of Languages, Nations And Religion
Author: Higgins, Godfrey
1836
Volume one of a two volume set. (This description is for all volumes.) Godfrey Higgins was convinced that a high civilization had flourished prior to all historical records. He believed that there had existed then a most ancient and universal religion from which all later creeds and doctrines sprang. His research lasted over 20 years. He attempted to establish the existence of a prehistoric universal religion and to trace its development into contemporary times. He believed this religion possessed accurate knowledge of universal and cosmic phenomena and held neither priesthood nor institution as intermediary in man's communion with the Divine. This highly sought after book is extremely rare. Two volumes.

The Templars were turned when they found King Solomon's wealth and secret knowledge of Magic, along with the secrets of the Gods ofEgypt and Alexandra (watch National Treasure with Nicholas Cage).

Is this a documentary?
People are still looking for a small piece of foundation which the temple was supposed to be on. Last I heard archaeologists found dinosaur bones at the location yet no pottery, coins or bricks.
