Been doing a search on the net for a while and I don't know if I am using the wrong words, but it comes up with rubbish. So any books that discuss in depth and explain in detail African spirituality from the very beginning if possible. All aspects, all countries.

Iusually like to get non-fiction books that other people have recommended so anything you are able to suggest will be appreciated.

Also, do you know if we dealt with something like tarot cards? If so, do you know where to read about them or even purchase them?confused3

Hello BlackBeauty

Metu Neter Vol.1

The Great Oracle of Tehuti and the Egyptian System of Spiritual Cultivation.

Maybe this will be helpful as its been mentioned quite a few times on here/ what prompted me to buy the book. Shamefulley I havent given it much time as Ive been busy with other things and cant read as much as I used to. But its good reading.

As for Tarot cards I dont know. But I do know of a system of Chinese divination-- The I Ching-the book of changes which has been rumoured to be similar to some types of West African (I think Yoruba) divination.

Good luck.

@BB Metur Netur is the magnus opus I think the Latin term is the don dada of texts, but not easy to read or grasp. But all other quality books on Spirtuality fits within that framework. An excellent and relatively less complex text is An Introduction to African Religions' By J S Mbiti. Also check out the Spirit of Man by Iyvanla Izant. She actually captures the African notions of masculine and feminine energie and spirt quite well in a very easy to read approach. Her bibliography is also quite good for introductory level books on these issues.

About Tarot cards Locsgirl is the Don in that area, but the Metur Netu explains how all these systems everyone you can name all come together in Ancient Kemit spirtual belief systems and why it such a complex book. Also check out The Oracle of Thoth. Can't remember the name and will come back to you when I find my copy. That also explains things like Kemetic systems of horoscope, notions of time and space and Tarot cards etc.

Peace
