Try a wiki search on Lilith, the first woman created for Adam, she refused to lay beneath Adam, she protested she was equal! She later became a demon....go figure! Eve was created as a subservient replacement.

Stories of Lilith stretches back beyond the Talmud, Christianity & Islam both have watered versions from the original story, some omitting everything , Christianity will just show Lilith as Liyliyith the demon, no mentioning of her being the first woman.... I dare say the Qur'an which came after of course will just completely omit Lilith , nothing more than revisions of each other. But of course... "this does exist. it not trrrue!"

Stories of lilith the demon goes back beyond Mesopotamia.

Has this anything to do with a patriarchal system?
