Interesting!!

But what does it have to do with the message of the bible?

What scripture gives any credence to Jesus' color being a matter of salvation?

I think it is probably a sin to depict any of the prophets (Peace and Blessings be upon them all including Jesus). This whole business of painting pictures and sultures of Jesus (Pace and Blessings be upon him) is a pagan ritual that has infiltrated Christianity from the Greek language in The Bible.

Qur'an makes no mention of skin color or race (correct me if I am wrong, Mulsims). In fact, we never make images of any prophet, especially not of Jesus or of Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon them both).

One wonders why there is so much un-Isalamic non-sense in all of these forums. It would be hoped, if not expected, that the Muslims here would stand up for Islam and stop accepting so much foolsiheness.

sir:

i have said all along that the bible does not mention Jesus' color. and that more importantly his color has nothing to do with the message of the bible. His color makes no difference what so ever.

i too believe that any picture of him and there are black ones are not at all appropriate for the very reason shown in this thread.

After white supremacist i.e. The Roman Catholic Church, spent years indoctrinating the peoples of the earth that the messias is White, after Hollywood in depicting the Christ never once thought to darken this man in the name of authenticity, now we hear when black people begin to question it "Its of no consequence".

Really in relation to the message it is of no consequence, but lets not altogether dismiss the question. God was manifested in the flesh, seen of angels, believed on in the world.

The flesh was not transparent, it was not alien.. He had to be picked out with a kiss, because he came unto his own?

Was he white ?

Was he non-european thus not white ?

Was he black ?

How different was the world then to the world now?

lets look into this in the "name of research and authenticity". Or will it offend european sensibilities ?

We could change the world, If God would give us the source code.

yes i have said and will continue to say that Jesus' color has nothing to do with salvation.

if it does then show me where the bible says so.

it is a foolish argument from all sides.

i know that Jesus was not white and probably was not black.

do you know what color he was, since you do believe it is of consequence to debate what we most certainly do not know for certain.

Muslims simply do not accept this so-called "manifeastation of GOD in the flesh". All specuifically tell us in Qur'an that this is not true:

Surah 112 The Unity - Al-Ikhlas, 4 verses (Makka)

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Say: He is God, the One and Only;
God, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
And there is none like unto Him.
(Surah 112 The Unity@Everything2.com)

If you are not too lazy to "look into it in the name of research". I have already said at least once in this thread that some of the best data on this subject is to be found here: Front for the Unification and Development of Africa and Arabia. All you need to is direct your mouse to this link and wiggle your index finger a little. The most lazy among us can do that.

When you follow the link, you will see a genealogy of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon him). It shows clearly that he descends from the Holy Prophetess Hagar (Peace and Blessinsg be upon her) She was an African. Abraham is the Father of many nations. Most of Africa fits that category, including Ethiopia and Somalia and Sudan and much of west Africa and southern Africa, especailly Madagascar.

there you go name calling again. i know who desended from hagar and that she was an egyptian. the bible clearly gives this same information. why do i need to read the information for what i already know.

there are books in the bible that i could suggest you read.

i can find on this computer a writer who has written something on any subject that i want no matter how absurd.

i am not so flattered by any sources that are given on line bredder.

in fact bredder Abraham was from southern iraq, ur.

abd,

you keep hitting on a point of people who don't agree with you being to lazy to research or investigate.

want to let you in on a little secret, i don't need to investigate any further than my bible. yes you can look at it as being narrow minded..sure am. if you've noticed i have not argued anything in your qaran. i have asked questions of it but have not argued one time what it says or meant.

one thing you and i agree on is this, that there is no comparison between the koran and the Bible.

what allah or muhammed says or does not say has no baring on what i believe. i have investigated it for my self and am thoroughly convinced of it being God's love letter to man.

I am not at all surprised at your fatalistic view of the world and what is the cause of the present chaos. their are white who just like you blame everything that has gone wrong in the world on blacks. i have taken them also to task.

i even suggested to them that we plant all of you who hate each other on some deserted island fully armed where you will have no escape. you guys deserve each other. they think just as you do, that the only way to solve anything is to eliminate the other side.

we are strapped with those of you of what ever hue till Jesus come and I am sure that it will be soon.

Remember when you see the news topic "millions missing" and realize that the one you should fear will be lying to you telling you of strange occurances to explain what has happened. this charlatan will trick you into a false peace for 3 and one-half years bredder and then the next 3 and one-half you will desire to die and not be able to do so.

i pray bredder that your eyes of understanding would be opened that you may see what is the glory of God unto salvation.

good point brother james.

i neither know what color the savior's skin was, but more so i know that it was of no relevence to the message of the bible.

i would speculate that it was probably true that he was not white. and the probability is equally as good that he was not black. but i am emphatic that he was of color.
