The CIA

John Henrik Clarke has probably been Chancellor Williams’s foremost supporter and has endorsed his book, THE DESTRUCTION OF BLACK CIVILIZATION, on several occasions. Chancellor Williams made some strange but telling statements during his “research” phase leading to the publication of his book in 1974. These statements point to possible involvement of the Central Intelligence Agency/British intelligence communities Statements such as :

“As indicated “, said Williams, “the American embassy in Khartoum did none of the preparatory work about which I give the US embassies throughout Africa so much praise, although it had six months notice before my arrival “[first edition] A later edition, changed somewhat, read in full :

[Chancellor Williams] “The United States Department of State had notified the American embassy in each country that I was coming, requesting our ambassadors to give any requested assistance Excepting the Sudan, where embassy officials appeared to be under some kind of fear, the embassies, everywhere, went all out to be helpful The embassies had the very important work of making the advance arrangements for trips into the interior through the appropriate ministries in each country As indicated above, the American embassy in Khartoum did none of the preparatory work about which I give the other U S African embassies so much praise, although it had six months notice before my arrival”

Of course Sudan and Khartoum will NOT assist him, one they are Muslims and TWO they know he works for the CIA, thats why the suspicion and lack of cooperation


“The reason the CIA office(s). ..(were)... located in the embassies, as it is in most other countries in the world”, wrote John Marks in the book, DIRTY WORK: THE CIA IN WESTERN EUROPE, edited by Philip Agée,

“is that by presidential order the State Department is responsible for hiding and housing the CIA...State confers respectability on the Agency’s operatives, dressing them up with the same titles and calling cards that give legitimate diplomats entree into foreign government circles. Chancellor Williams manipulated and dipped into the internal affairs of the African country of Sudan. Involved in a civil war, the Sudanese were apparently suspicious of his trip and, as he admitted, seemed fearful of him. And to verify the Khartoum government’ a suspicions, Chancellor Williams promised to wage a propaganda war against the African nation if they did not comply with his “study” request. He threatened them by saying the following:

“I, therefore, prepared to leave at once, but announced that I did not beg to study anywhere, and that the world would learn that this was the Only African state where an African scholar was barred” [first edition].

Not only were the Sudanese suspicious, but the brothers and sisters in Zimbabwe were suspicious, too. The United States State Department was giving Williams too much assistance but, also, the hated and hateful Ian Smith regime of “Rhodesia”,

Williams wrote on page 29, “to the surprise of just about everyone, pulled out all stops as though it had resolved to outmatch all the black states in amenities and various kinds of assistance beyond all expectations or needs. There was the usual press conference, followed by front page head- line coverage of my mission.” Note the following:

“Our Zimbabwe friends were somewhat suspicious of the motives behind all this red carpet treatment for a black American, especially when it continued after my uncompromising replies to questions on a TV broadcast panel session” [p. 30].

Again the author of this misrepresents and rewrite the passage on pg 28/29 'destruction of BLACK civilisation' the WHOLE passage of the 1990 version which i have actually reads:

In the Sudan the authorities did not want me to work in or even visit the all-black southern provinces. Their 15 years of rebellion against the 'Arabs' North had caused the whole vast area to be officially 'sensitive' and therefore,barred to outsiders. The suggestion was that i confine my studies to the Northern Sudan. This I refused because I had been previously assured that the rebellion had been 'completely crushed' and that 'peace and quiet' prevailed everywhere. I therefore, prepared to leave at once, but announced that i did not beg to study anywhere, and that the world would learn that this was the only 'African state' where an African scholar was barred'. The Ministry of the interior reacted quickly. Not only was permission quickly granted to do fiekd work in the South, but all necessary arrangement were made with dispatch. This included establishing my southern headquaters in Malakal. The simple fact was that while they were quite Familiar with European research people roaming freely all over the country, a black doing field studies in the Sudan was a Phenomenon indeed.

As you can clearly read above the passage in full actually discusses Chancellor Williams exchange in trying to gain access to the SOUTH of the Sudan, it also clearly articulates that AMERICA did NOT assist in that process, in fact the Sudanese government on the Threat of being exposed relented and Assisted the man to complete his studies in Sudan..

So again the Author of this thread is a blatant liar, who again misrepresenting what was actually written, deliberately misconstruing Chancellor Williams words to paint the man as some sort of 'agent' of the CIA..shameful..

The author then mangles and again misrepresents a quote on pg 29/30 which actually reads: and now Southwards to the FULL White ruled lands where hostility to a black face was fully expected Rhodesia and South Africa. Long before reaching Southern Africa I was told that I might as well skip Rhoedesia, and even if I was admitted into Southern Africa I would not be permitted to work. But Rhodesia, to the surprise of just about everyone, pulled out all the stops as though it had resolved to outmatch all the Black states in amenities and various kinds of assistance beyond all expectations or needs. There was actually a press conference, followed by a front page headline coverage of my mission. The other surprise was an invitation for TV and Radio broadcast to the nation. Again the Author tried to manipulate the passage out of context, in context you can clearly read that the suspicion was in the context of an Aparthied regime uncharacteristically giving a free pass to a BLACK man who had just insulted the white rulers...

Libel and Slander

Legal Misrepresentation is when one person manifests by words or other means something that is not correct according to the facts that the circumstances provide. These manifestations can occur verbally or in other ways.

How can there be misrepresentation of the facts?

Williams went to the US State Department, was given carte blanche to EVERY Embassy in Africa. By his OWN admission suspicion was drawn by a number of embassies. As a result of their lack of cooperation, they were threatened.

Now researchers and historians do NOT contact embassies in foreign countries through the US State Department

Lastly, the CIA practices covert operations to destroy Africans in EVERY Embassy on the planet and they use OTHER Africans to do so. That has been shown and the evidence presented.

Chancellor Williams and John Henrik Clarke were obviously approached and recruited by the CIA as were other historians, professors and the like. That evidence and testimony was shown also.


Chancellor Williams Family and Estate are aware of the allegations of CIA complicity. John Henrik Clarke was alive for YEARS when the allegations and the book "Afrocentricity minus Al Islam....Cheats" was published.

Why is it you feel the need to come to an African site and attack the name and integrity of two of our Ancestors in the defence of an arab religion?

Is it your claim that the entire body of their work is invalid or that just the parts that refer to the arab religion?

Please excuse my directness for before I can engage with the topic I need to learn more of your motives/bias. I openly admit that I am not as well read on these issues as you seem to be but I am willing to learn.

I notice that no "truth" was "revealed" in relation to this basic question.

I keep saying that Williams' work is unworthy of serious study by forward looking, optimiatic Africans of the present. The mere fact that he always causes divisions and un-necessary conflict is sufficient reason to avoid Willimas' work. The above discourse is all the evidence that we need.
