Manna - Dis-Spelling the Myth -
28-12-07, 07:41 PM
As explained in the biblical text "Manna" is thought to be some sort of mystical bread that miraculously fell from the sky.
Manna (noun) - the food miraculously supplied to the Israelites in the wilderness. Ex. 16:14–36. -- manna - Definitions from Dictionary.com
Manna is "actually" the fungi known as mushrooms, There is no mystery nor miracle in this food group; except that it is a creation of GOD.
It is a known fact that some species of the mushroom contain a chemical that crosses the blood barrier of the brain to create a connected enhancement with GOD.
Simply stated: Manna "is" a food from the mushroom group --a drug, if you will---in some species which produces a euphoric state. The explanation of this euphoric state is interpreted as a closeness with GOD.
Could this be why cultures such as the Hindus and the Arabs and the Hi-Priests of Israel "still" wear a wrap around their heads similar to a mushroom and are known as mushroom heads?
"The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross: A Study of the Nature and Origins of Christianity within the Fertility Cults of the Ancient Near East" by John Marco Allegro.
Dr. Ray Hagins has also discussed this topic; therefore when I first viewed the clip I knew mushrooms would be the topic.

With all due respect this makes no sense at all, you're comparing apples and oranges here in trying to establish a point.
Point being (I know this post is very old) different cultures, languages, and time, can very well have a play on the same word that can have two different meanings.
For example the word salute in English... It means to acknowledge an higher ranking officer through some means of action...
While the same word in Spanish means 'God bless'...
With that said I fail to see your point.
Here's an tip, when looking up meaning of words, you should stay in the same context the word was written in. 'Mana ' in bliblical sense meant food from heaven to the wandering Hebrews out in the desert.
Also in order to prove a topic wrong you're going to have to do more dilegence (work). Looking words up in a dictionary isn't really going to quite cut it. You should research and talk to people in this case Jews about their belief, worship, etc.
Then you should be able to get a better picture of what you want to discuss.
Cheers!

Considering that you have taken umbrage at the dictionary term used for manna doesn't make sense, it clearly states : Manna (noun) - the food miraculously supplied to the Israelites in the wilderness. Ex. 16:14–36.
Yet your whole argument is against a reference in a dictionary which defines exactly what the bible says in its context? To me, your reply is facetious:
1. not meant to be taken seriously or literally: a facetious remark.
2. amusing; humorous.
3. lacking serious intent; concerned with something nonessential, amusing, or frivolous: a facetious person.
Because you ignored everything else inside the post, especially the other video link. Most ancient cultures around the globe have a long history of using mind altering substances to achieve an altered state, take the Aztec's mushroom Teo-nanacatl aka Flesh of the Gods as an example,Iboga, Ayahuasca, Soma, Ambrosia etc....but they don't hide it.
Nor do they wear headdress that resembles mushrooms like the Jewish High Priests, Gurus and Mullahs, originally they all was aware of some sort of power in psycotropics. The bible tells you under which conditions manna grows , when to cultivate it and to store it for later.

The world's full of them..... and you know it!

The topic is about manna which was previous thought to have fell from heaven (e.g. well that what it says in that thing called the bible) -- though the truth is -- Manna nothing more than a mushroom, a mushroom with mind altering effects.
Arabs and Hindus and Israli priests having sampled this Manna (e.g. Mushrooms) experienced a mind altering enlightment and thus wrapped white clothes around their heads to further validate the point!
My context is right on target to my content, with all due respect!
