Cutting Edge from Channel4.com

Baby Bible Bashers

Samuel Boutwell is a seven-year-old preacher. He takes his vocation to save sinners from rotting in eternal hell extremely seriously.
Most Saturdays he stands in front of his local abortion clinic in Jackson, Mississippi and, bible in hand, bellows:

'Don't kill your child! Repent! God loves the little children!'. Baby Bible Bashers follows the extraordinary stories of three of the Lord's 'chosen children', and their relationships with God, their families and their congregations

In addition to Samuel, we meet nine-year-old Florida firebrand Terry Durham, who likes nothing more than to don his oversize blue suit and alligator shoes, and whip the crowd into a frenzy. Terry holds the honour of having been the world's youngest ordained minister at just six.
Brazilian sensation Ana Carolina Dias began preaching at just three years of age and regularly commands TV audiences of millions. Her mission: to save the hardened gang members and drug dealers of Rio's shantytowns.

This film by BAFTA award-winning director Amelia Hann, follows these pint-size preachers as they go about their missionary work spreading the word to 'drunkards, adulterers and thieves' and uncovers the unsettling and often disturbing truth behind child evangelism.

Think outside of the box...Think in spirit

That parents would stoop to use children even in religion is nothing new LD. I have seen parents do this particularly in sports. My son attended a high school known for sports prowess. No sooner had he spent his first day he was approached by some of he kids to try steriods.

I had already talked to him about them and he told me readily that afternoon. I advised him against it and by the sight of his body frame remaining the size it was I do not think he partook.

We see it also in theatrics, modling, nothing is beyond these people who prostitute their kids under the guise of helping them develop their talent. I know of kids who were pushed so hard by their parents that even with all the potential and talent they lost the desire.

The natural affection of parenthood is waning LD jsut as the bible says it would.

If people are dumb enough to believe in religion they deserve to get conned like this.

I saw some of this then i just like fell asleep i will see if there is a repeat of it on again or if i can catch it on E4. I was in two minds about some of what i saw. On the one hand a child is a child and should maybe be in Sunday school with other children being taught things according to their age. That seven year old boy seemed to know rather a lot about some adult issues to me.
Also on the other hand i was thinking what if these children were in the right path that God had chosen for them to do God's work. Who would I be to object? I tend to be leaning towards the idea more that what some of them was doing was just a bit to old for their age.I think Jesus himsself didn't start preaching to his early teens.

I wanted to see that little black boy but i missed that bit.
