ok so this thread is inspired by shems thread in the womens, but i did not want to take away from the cultural aspect of that thread
many religions have head coverings for various reasons
some only have head coverings for women only some for men or both
what i would like to know is the reasons behind head coverings for your religion
in the christian faith although women covered their head it was for prayer purposes some christian cultures like that in india , women cover their heads as a sign she is married.
the bible does say in 1 corinthians 11; 15But if a woman has long hair, it is her ornament and glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering.
of course people have different interpretations too
but i just would like the gyst of the reason behind head coverings in your religion male and female, what is the purpose what does it symbolise and why
