My bad you are right she is Sonya Richards and she is Jamaican, but her fiance plays for the Giants and is AA. I think that is why she made the switch to be an AA citizen back in '02.

Jamaican runner(sprinter) going somewhere else may boil down to less competition...
I'd imagine that's it's easier for a person to make US sprint team than JA....
kenyans distance runners have the same problem....being one of the best in the world.....but can't make their own team cause the comp. is so strong....

@DrotheJ
I don't think the Jamaican 400M are that hot this season but they did have some quality in there a few years ago..having said that they still stronger than the US women 400M as a collective...Fancy them for the Gold..but the 100M relay is going to be something else between Jamaica and the US...
one will need a bigger lie to cover the first one

To add insult to injury they showed a close up of Bolt's left sneaker in the papers today,his lace was completely undone for most of the race!,so even if his sneaker flew off he still probably would have won,lol.
Too bad he really didn't go for broke,i'm quite sure he would have been knocking on the door of the 9.5's.

Bolt will win,I saw the heat today.It was 20 secs something and he looked well relaxed.
He'll win but not sure if he's touching Micheal Johnsons record...not yet.

Yeh GB's first medal in the track and field has been won by Germaine Mason in the men's high jump. This was an unexpected medal.
I hope that Christine does well in the women's 400m today. I hope that Philips pulls through as well in the triple jump.
GB are doing so well right now and are 3rd i would love it to end that way.
I was loving the cycling as well was almost to nervous to watch and that is not something i would ever normally watch.
I am enjoying these games.
