I have loved these Olympics and was wondering what peoples fave/lease fave moments have been

Fave moments

1. All the sexy athletes: the pole vault champion, alyson felix, sherone simpson, the 400m winner, the 110m hurdles winner, jade johnson, kelly holmes, jo fenn( prettiest athlete), natasha collinder, the list goes on

2. The Pole Vault for Women. The needle between the World Top 2 made this an enthralling contest. They both brought there A game and it was fantastic to watch. A world record as well just to put the icing on the cake

2. The 800m women and 1500m men races. Was really happy for el gurug(spelling) as he never won an olympic medal before. Happy for holmes but pisssed because I didnt have enough time to put money on her and I KNEW 100% that she would win. I would have cleaned up!!!

3. The 100m for men
I had money on gatlin and he delivered. 4 men under 9.90, what more needs to be said

4. Amir Kham
Fantastic, I love it when a hyped person lives up to hype, the way he banged over the European Champion and the Korean was magical, Kindelan will whack him up but Amir can hold his head high

5. Nigeria finally winning some medals, the anchor in the 400m really brought his A game and found that extra something

6. The Jamaican women
I yet RFYW tell you about them. Brilliant. Unlike UK, Jamaica would have breezed out US regardless of baton vhange( look forward t seeing more of sherone simpson)

7. The hurdles
The US women smashed it with that time, the canadian smahed it, literally!! That China man mullered that field in the mens, 12.91, I'll await the drug tests. lol!!!

What I didnt like

1. Paula Radcliffe punking out of two races. iF i WAS HEER i WOULD HAVE LEFT THE MARATHON AND RUN 10,00 ALONE. nICE, WARM WWEATHER, NOT REWACHING 110 DEGREES LIke the marathon

2. Asafa Powell punking out of the 200m final. That is poor, although he is 21, same age as mark lewis, and has run 9.91. The futures bright

3. Steve backey. THE Gold was won by an 86.5 throw, come on steve, come better than then that. He got an 87m throw in him but didnt do it

4. My cousin Mary, who runs for Nigeria. She got breezed out by a british woman in her 200m heat and came last, she is a former 100m commonwealth champions , double olympic bronze medalist, times up love. Retire with grace!!!

I would love to hear your views

Any replies will be appreciated

You ever heard of the Golden Rule. He who has the gold makes the rules!

He who asks is a fool for five minutes. He who never asks remains a fool for ever.

My favorite moments were when Lauryn Williams won the silver in the 100-meters while her dad who is ailing was in attendance. He was able to make the trip to Athens to see his baby compete, thanks to the generosity of others who raised the money through fund-raisers.

What a great moment!

My other memorable moment is when the humbleJustin Gatlin won the men's 100 meter final over heavily favored Maurice Greene, his teammate Shawn crawford (both who are more outgoing) and Asafa Powell...Gatlin made me feeleven prouder becausehe isa homeboy of sorts...Go Justin! Go Justin!, It's your Birthday, It's your Birthday!banana.gif

My favourite moment:

Definitely the two hundred meter men’s final

100 meter final - greatest line up of all time.

I enjoyed watching Morris arrogant Green in bronze medal position

Green not wining any gold medal

Felix Sanchez winning 400 meter hurdles

Kelli Holmes winning her first gold medal

Least favourite moment:

Has to bewatching the great Haile Gebrselassie struggle in the 10000 meter final.

Asafa Powell punking out in the 200 meter final

Merlene Ottey representing Slovenia

Allen Johnson crashing out after clipping the hurdles, i really hoped he'll take his secondgold especially after finishing 4th in Sydney.

Will come back if i think of any more ----------

Cash,

My favorite moments of Atrhens 2004 were:1) I don't know how to spell the brothers name, but the only things that I know is that he's a Moroccan runner(Kasim Al Farroq, or something like that. ..anyways, I like this part of the olympics because he's been running in the race for a while and has been in prior Olympics for a while. He said that his goal was to get an Gold medal, but it had seemed to elude him. It just seemed that when he focused on the medal that is when he had the most problems.

In the Athens Olympics, Al-Farooq, Furash or whatever his name is) had his mind on the medal , but he seemed more relaxed, upbeat to the point that he was a little nonchalant about it. It was like if I win, I win if not, so be it. That kind of thinking played into his favor. He not only won his races, he also won more than one gold medal. Just to think he could have quit the whole thing, but he hung on in their and got more than what he expected.

Another one of my favorite moments is the Iraqi Soccer team. Although those guys didn't win the gold, their comeback was phenomenal. You would think that the oppession that Uday Hussein inflicted on them would dampen their way of playing soccer. I often heard and have seen the greatness of the Iraqi and their plays. I will have to admit, they can really play some soccer. I wouldn't be suprise if they won goldin China 2008.

Third, The USA Runners, when the Greeks was booing Justin and company and accusing the US of conspiring to rid of their running( Some of those Greeks really showed their Ghetto side didn't they)I was glad to see those guys win the gold in that. Just like one of them said, their booing isn't intimidating. It's just like going to the Apollo and getting booed.

Lastly,

( Another one of those runners with one of those names I can't pronounce or remember) The only thing that I know about this man was that he was representing the USA. He's originally from Eritrea. He got the silver and said that he was the 1st Black man to do that in a marathon run. I also want to add in the honorable mention to that Braziliam runner who was ran over from a Greek spectator. I was glad to see that he didn't quit the race and that he earned a bronze medal.

Ashanti,

Yes, I was rooting for all of those running, but I was especially rooting for Justin and another guy who is from Tucker, Ga. If I'm not mistaken, J is from Decatur, Georgia. Are you from GA as well?

I have to agree, i will always remember these olympics as my favourite.

Ok best moments.

The 200m mens final - with the 3 americans burning around the bend. It looked amazing.

Little Amir, beating everyone up, then talking about how he has to go home and catch up on his homework!

The rowing 4's final, when GB won by 1 inch! I have never got excited over rowing before but it was sooo damn close.

womens 800m final! WICKED RACE!

The opening credits for the BBC1 coverage. I thought it was breathtaking.

Watching those taekwondo fighters bouncing up and down like little kids, i just couldn't take it seriously.

When williams was smiling at the camera before the finals of the 200m.

Watching the line ups of most of the sprint races and seeing a row of black power!

worst moments

when the greeks were booing before the 200m final

when that idiot stopped the brazilian athelete from running in the marathon!

When the young french athlete fell in the 100m hurdles. He would have beaten that chinese boy!
