Well I don't know who is the best manager in the Premiership, but who do you think is doing the best job with what they have or have been given. I am not only talking about teams that wins everytime like Arsenal, Man United etc, but also the team that are struggling orjust comfortableeg Teams like everton, charlton etc.

Who is the manager that you would say will perform better thanFerguson orWenger if they were given the money. Or do you think they are the best...........Surely Ranieri wasn't up to the task.

Manchester United........it is time to wake up and go on a winning Streak

Arsene Wenger by far, not exactly the biggest club around when we can only fit 35,000 into Highbury.Ferguson obviously is quality but he has the all theresources to fall back on. Sam Allardyce is by the far the best English manager around keeping Bolton up and consistently buying good players, and are a good team to watch as well.

In my opinion Fergie can spot good talent from a young age, but when it comes to buying foreign talent, especially with the older players then he hasn't got a clue, he should sack his scout whoever it may be, or maybe hire a scout.

Can't say Jacques Santini isn't up their with the best of them either, he's actually making Spurs look hard to beat. Liverpool's manager Rafael Benitez isn't exactly a nobody either winning two Spanish titles with Valencia in the past three years.

Ranieri now atValencia has takenthem to the top of the Spanish league, so he can't be all that bad, his team are scoring lots ofgoals as well...I think they drew today mind you, so the chances are that Barcelona will go top tomorrow.

Chelsea's JoseMourinho is in the same league as Benitez, ok so he won the Champions League with Porto, but Greece won the European Championship. And now look at them, where they are supposed to be, second from botton in the world cup qualifiers.

Fergie made United what it is today (Martin Edwards too obviously). Man United was in a shambles when fergie took over from Ron Atkinson. All the players were drunkards and layabouts and full of crap. Fergie restructed the whole youth training system and threw out most of the team while reforming the others and finding gems. His youth team policys bore obvious fruit and continue to do so. He is the most successful British manager ever and is not to be sniffed at. People say Man U have a lot of money but when you check it, when Fergie first went there they didnt. Oh it was a big club but one in the doldrums and they wouldnt give him any to spend. He had to make that club into the powerhouse it is now and EARN that. Martin Edwards must take credit for that too but Fergie made the team great.

Though on recent form I would have to add that Wenger has done a good job at Arsenal letting the players play with style like that, Mourinho looks promising but I would say my favourite manager is Sam Alladyce. That is a man who works with nothing but still has a well organised hard to beat side and he fit Jay Jay in the team and made him captain.

Santini is doing a good job and I am not suprised one bit because he is a good coach despite the unfair stick he took for simply taking over a French side in decline.

I would however say that O'Leary is the best manager in the Prem. And before you say anything this is inspite of his Arsenal connections, certainly not because of. I cant stand the guy because of the way he used to gee up his Leeds teams to come and beat Arsenal as if his entire season depended on it....or the way he tried to provoke Robert Pires a few seasons ago with a running touchline battle which lesser players may have responded to (andgot sent off)

Despite all that O'Leary has done a good job at Villa with no money and a very average set of players. The nucleus of the team is the same as when Taylor was in charge and he nearly got them relegated....so top 8 or top 6 is nothing short of incredible given the limited resources he has.

Still dont want him to take over from Wenger tho. I would rather wait for Tony Adams to return home

Alex used to be the best before, but his time has come and gone. I agree David oleary is a fantastic manager, he should come to United next season. he will be received with open arms.

Def Sam Alladyce he has worked wonders at Bolton with little to no resources. His choice of players recruited is kinda smart, bringing people that have got something to prove after people writing them off as too old or not good enough. He's got some very useful players - not to mention captain marvel Jay Jay himself.

They are meant to have the best facilities and approach in the prem, supposedly because of the whole set up they get the least injuries and people recover better as well. Interesting...

Its funny cos he once said that if his name was Sam Alladici or something exotic he would be in line for every top job in the world.

Wengers done more than well at Arsenal but he is able to attract top players even though he has moulded most into the top players that they are now - Viera Henry Anelka etc. Regardless of resources Arsenal have and always will be a big club who can attract big players...

Alan Curbishley has done well with Charlton stabilising them as a Premiership team again buying and developing useful players. (Parker should have never left)

Alex ferguson good motivator, knows how to get the best out of his players, done well with Aberdeen as well so you can't say he would struggle at a smaller club. Seems to be too worried about his horse and retirement now. And paying over the top for players just because Man U can afford it...

HATE Moyes(Gollum) How are they third in the Prem - they'll soon start declining.

HATE O'Leary - always making excuses, teams too young, not enough experience, players carrying injuries. Change the record said the same things at Leeds. Does however gets his teams fired up.

We'll wait and see with my man Rafa, he looks to be getting Liverpool to pass a lot more than under Houllier looks promising. Alonso...what a player BTW.

Mourinho - so arrogant, I do like him though is a good manager done wonders at Porto and despite defeat today Chelsea will do well - can see them picking up Silverware in fact I think they may win the Champions League.

However, some managers have little team mentalities and I don't think would do well at a big team - just like Mickey Adams at Leicester look what he said about quitting his post.

As much as I hate to say it Arsenal are playing some scintilating stuff. What a pity they dont seem able to reproduce the form against Europes best eh??

The manager I respect at the moment is David Moyes. For the last 3 seasons Everton have not lit up the place but have been solid. Moyes has done wonders at Everton with such a small budget.

Man Utd aint winning sweet f.a. this season. But theyll tick along up there..

Too early to speak about santini.. but these french managers have the nack of doing well in the premiership..even Tigana was on a roll..

But for current form Moyes gets it for me.. even though he has sold the boy wonder...they are a difficult side to beat.

I would say that Wenger and Alladyce is doing the best job.

I think that cyrstal palace's manager did a fantastic job for them in the 1st division last season. and i think he will do a great job again for them in the premiership!

Yeah I have to agree with that MBD, Palace are suprising me time and time again. St Andrews is a very difficult place to go to, as DM will no doubt tell you, but Palace are flying. 14th now? At this rate they will be ina UEFA cup spot by New Year!

Palace would be crazy to get rid ofDowie even if they went down. He suprised everyone by getting promotion and has confounded the critics by making a fight this year. Everyone thought they would go straight back down. Even Alan Hansen said they would get the lowest points total ever.

Alladyce is good but I always get the feeling that he knows his limits. Hes had opportunities to move to bigger clubs but has stayed at Bolton, a club where if he finished 15th nobody would care. Maybe he doesn't have thestomach for a job at St James Park etc, although I heard his new contract has a clause for the Man Utd or England job, so maybe he will prove us wrong afterall
