Race taunt fury
IVORY COAST COACH ERIC HANNA has demanded FIFA take action against racist Nigerian fans after the Ivory Coast's white players were subjected to sickening racial abuse in Nigeria's national stadium.
Ivory Coast's white players Pierre Ducat and sub Paul Lyon were targeted by thousands of Nigerian bigots despite a pre-match plea by the Nigeria FA.
Shocked Hanna said: “When things like this happen something must be done. I am totally against racism and it should not happen in any country in 2004.
The attitude of the people in the Ivory Coast on this is better than in many other countries. It is not down to me to say what should happen to the Nigerians.
We will leave that to FIFA. It can not have been easy for our players. Try to put yourself in their position.�
But Nigeria coach Oliver Mwembe said: “I have always said my conscience is clean.�
Ivory Coast skipper Michael Egal said: “I was very surprised. I’ve lived in Nigeria for over a year and never heard anything like it.�
FIFA spokesman Adrian Bevington said: “It was completely unacceptable. The Nigeria supporters were making Oink! Oink! noises every time the white players touched the ball. Pierre Ducat even had black pudding thrown at him.
These so-called fans kept singing white players eat pork, drink too much, have small penises, can't dance and stink of fish and chips. There's no place for that sort of thing in this day and age."

I normally just read the posts on this forum but I had to say something today as I cannot believe that there are so many gullible people out there! Come on now, do you think that the exact same incident would have occured during the same week? A lot of black people may not like white people but we as a race do not behave like that, that's their thing. In addtion the white press here would have jumped on that story. Please don't believe everything you read!!!
