My advice?

Drop Beckham as captain and from the team. He offers nothing anymore. No Joe Cole. Stop dreaming people... he is not Aimar or Deco no matter how much the papers tell you he is. The backline is pretty balanced and solid so I would leave that as it is. With Campbell or Terry partnering Rio and Nevilla and smeghead Ashley. Goalkeeper is mediocre but Ill leave that as there are no superior replacements.

Lampard would be retained as he is more disciplined that Gerrard. Gerrard is always trying the killer ball and inevitably always losing posession Always trying to long ball everything and be fancy. And we always say "ooooooo, well you can see what he was trying to do, what genius" bollocks! Genius woulda made the pass. He cant tackle either (you are blind Le moor) he just rashly dives in and fouls and the media calls him "determined". RUBBISH. Gerrard cant be dropped but he would be clearly told to be a holding player and if he cant control himself and keep shape then he would be replaced by Jenas or Parker. Apparently Robinho had to flee Brazil because of kidknap fears for his mother. Its been increasing recently and a few Argentinian and Brazilian high profile players have had family kidknapped recently. Going by what Ive read, the aithorities believe there is a organised group targeting the family of high profile players from South America. Robinho is still a kid, I wonder how that will affect him.

I think that the European clubs are too quick to swoop on the Brazilian and South American youth anyway. They dont get a chance to mature, look at Del Alessandro and Saviola for example. Kaka might buck the trend though.

Gerrard in club competion is as gangster as it gets. He sucks as an International so far thugh. Gerrad does try that killer ball too much but he is a dope tackler, dont forget he is a converted defender

Gerrard goes missing in internationals. Well no that's not quite true. He doesnt go missing, he goes chasing after the ball and constantly trying to attack.

What happens is that they lose the ball and cant win it back so the defence gets pushed back further and further and as a result England take on a defensive shape when they have attacking players...

The forwards get starved because midfield is messy and wasteful and Gerrard runs about banging into people and "getting stuck in" but rarely being useful at it.

One of the HAS to be the defensive one. One of them has to STAY back. Since Lampard is more tidy and better short passer than Gerrard (dont argue just watch and see) then Lampard should attack. He also has a better shot (again dont argue). Gerrard's tackling is poor but he needs to learn to keep shape since Frank cant do that at all.
