I think Wenger got rid of Viera cos he knows Steven Gerrad is now the benchmark.
Gerrard's skill now makes Viera look as good as Perry Groves.
Anyway i think Arsene Wenger will be replacing him with Paul Dickov.
The trouble is no-one wants to sign for a failing club on the way down. Shame cos they had real potential of qualifying for the CL next season. For Aresenal thats progress.
As it stands theCarling Cup is now looking a more realistic goal.
