Apparently:
BEYONCE'S RAPPER LOVER IS AFTER A PIECE OF ARSE JAY-Z'S FOOTIE BID By Ben Todd Showbiz Editor MULTI-MILLIONAIRE rapper Jay-Z wants to buy a stake in Arsenal Football Club. The footie-mad fiance of Destiny's Child beauty Beyonce Knowles - worth an estimated £200million - is planning to invest in the Gunners after being turned down by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. He wants to part-own a London club because he loves the city and thinks Arsenal star Thierry Henry is "cool". Last night a source said: "Jay-Z loves football - he thinks the whole scene is very bling. He has also met Henry and thinks he is really cool." Jay-Z and business partner Damon Dash sold their firm, Roc-A-Fella Records, for more than £180million in July. He still owns the hugely successful Rocawear clothes label as well as a vodka firm and a film production company. He gave Beyonce a £1.2million diamond and ruby ring for her 24th birthday in September and the couple are said to be planning to marry before Christmas. Last month the couple flew to London and had a secret meeting with Abramovich. The source added: "Jay-Z is a man who gets what he wants - and he wants a portion of a Premiership club. "He and Roman got on really well, but he wouldn't dilute his shareholding of Chelsea.
"So Jay-Z's looking at other clubs, with Arsenal top of his list."

In a move to expand his increasing business empire, Jay-Z is said to be reportedly in talks to buy a piece of the famed London soccer team, Aresenal FC.
Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) has purportedly been in negotiations with Aresenal front office brass to purchase a big stake in the London squad.
Originally a team of munitions workers from southeast London before moving to north London, the Aresenal’s aka the “Gunners have won five English league titles and two F.A. cups.
Now under the guidance of Frenchman Arsène Wenger, it is potentially entering a second golden age as one of Europe's most exciting attacking teams.
If cemented, the deal would be another successful business notch under the Brooklyn entrepreneur’s belt.
Known for his business acumen, Jay-Z has currently enjoying a string of fruitful business deals as of late.
He is currently developing his own S. Carter high-end clothing line, and in the spring he introduced a collaboration with Swiss luxury-watch maker Audemars Piguet.
In addition, Carter’s Rocawear clothing brand is generating some $400 million a year in sales. (Carter and partners recently bought out co-founder Dash for an estimated $25 million.)
Although Carter has mainly orchestrated his deals behind the scenes, his business accomplishments have not gone unnoticed.
The business community recognized Jay-Z’s savvy earlier this year when he was received the British GQ’s International Man of the Year award.
He also was recently featured on the cover of the well-respected financial business magazine, Fortune.

Cashmoney
The title of the thread said "a peice" and the article said "a stake"... No the whole damn club! lol
Anybody can buy shares in Arsenal, even you can... just a matter how much of a peice. Now with 180 million you are not buying even a half but it's still a big chunk.
I dont see as it matters really, not as if it's a controlling share is it? What do you expect him to do? Dictate transfer and wages policy? Don't be silly!! It's neither here nore there a non story really.

WTF???? We lose Viera, we lose Edu, we lose out to Baptista, Henry is hurt, we were embarrassed when Drogba carried one of our defenders and dropped him only to tackle the ball off another on the same run pivot and chip another defender and the keeper to score, and now we will have millions of ignorant people running around holding up the ROC sign wearing Gunner shirts?
Did Arsene or one of the club owners or officials hold up a sign claiming to be bigger than Jesus or something? Why are we being punished so?

Spurs? Hell we have to get past West Brom. We barely got past Birmingham and they were down to 10. A keeper can only do so much, but when you are blasting them over and straight to him, how else can he not but look like a genius? Damn what was Wenger thinking? He should have went after a boss type player in the middle instead he goes after pretty boy Hleb. Now this group of mofos will not even shoot they just try to pass the damned ball into the net. Henry is gone at the end of the season. I honestly see him in Spain next season. I have been crying this for two years since Ronaldinho begged him to come to Barca. Man I am just speechless.

another Arsenal rumor.......in France, people are speculating about Henry's future at Arsenal...Henry wants to leave Arsenal after this season...just rumors or same speculations circulating in London at the moment?

henry is still smarting over the gunners selling vieira behind his back. his first interview after vieira was sold, he said how ' angry, shocked and hurt' he was. seems they kept even him in the dark.
he is now doing the same to them.
i honestly believe he will stay at arsenal, but there will have to be a few good quality players bought and some major arselicking going on for him to even consider staying. that or win the champs league. which is probably too tall an order for us this season.
