1, Rolandinho
2, Henry
3, Zidane..
Sorry but yesterday's footballers wouldn't even beable to competewith today's standards.
Give it20 years and people will be saying the three players I've mentioned above.

LOL. Great as the 3 you mentioned are! maybe with pele and eusibio they could possibly get close to them, but the 3 put together could not lace Marodonas boots, he had it all!!! turned it on EVERY match

1. ME
2. MYSELF
3. AND I
Maybe if a criteria of "greatness" was to be included, also maybe positions.

i just watched a documentary about the development of football shoes and balls. in the docu there is a chapter where today's players like Henry, Zidane and Pires do some tricks with todays football gear and following that, with classic football shoes and an old leather ball.
they weren't capable to perform most of their tricks anymore and the ball control was lousy..remember players like Zidane, Henry and Pires...
just wanted to add these words because of the statement above that some of the heroes in the past wouldn't be great today....you should get a tape and watch Pele's style and tricks..he would dominate football even in this time...and even easier as back then....thanks to the foul rules of today's football
"Some people believe football is a matter of life and death. I\'m very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that."

I think there is no arguing on Maradona and Pele, its the third one that a lot of peope will argue about. He is my top 3:
Maradona
Pele
Beckenbauer
There is a very thin line between genius and insanity
