Conscious Sista - well you know they say great minds think alike
Abs baby - Nigerian guiness? no way sis, that's ahandicap - that stuffwill have them running around the pitch with huge erections LOL
Dark Prince - the one thing worse than knocking out the favourites is when you don't go on and win it yourself. But I tell you one thing, if Ghana go all the way, I'm gonna seek about getting nationality

WORST.PENALTY.DECISION.EVER!!!
But its all good. I collected a little loot from a friend as I had Ghana going through when I watched them against Italy
I watched the match in Manjaros on Holloway Road. Pure black people there. Great atmosphere, singing the Ghanian amthem etc. There was a film crew there as well, and to top it off I got a free Ghana T-shirt ao I will be rocking that 2mrw. I have to beg a nationality as my team are a bunch of..........................................

play all the voodoo magic you want, Ghana will not beat Brazil. i will admit it that Ghana have played very well in this year's world cup. but brazil are just to well organized to be beaten by Ghana. Brazil gets better as the tournament goes on. i believe they will win the world cup...there is to much talent in the brazilin squad...they don't even need to worry about injuries...cuz all 22 players are very talented.
I remember watching the France 98 world cups, Brazil were just amazing to watch in very game… a true delight! but when they came up again France in the final…and lost I was like WTF??? I mean the whole world was like WTF???

Before the match ...
"With our performance, all Africans are looking that we do something extraordinary and that we will go far," captain Stephen Appiah says. "That's why we are here, so we can go far and make our country and Africa proud. The way we have played I think all Ghanaians are happy, not only for Ghana but for African continent as well. But we have to continue like that ..."[/b]

Reports after the match ...
"The Ghanaian players got a boost before the match against the Americans in a visit from Cameroon's Samuel Eto'o. The FC Barcelona striker, whose country did not qualify this time, spoke to the team before the match, while Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Adebayor of Togo called Appiah to express support ..."
"We are playing for Africa and our country" Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan said."[/b]

"Ghana will now meet Brazil in the second round, but will be without their influential midfielder Michael Essien who is suspended after picking up his second yellow card ...
... He said: "We did our best today. We did it for Ghana and the whole of Africa so they should keep cheering us."

Before they even blow the final whistle I guess Ghana beating us and going through is better than it being anyone else. LOL We have never won the last match in our group in the past three world Cups LOL Iran, Poland, now Ghana......WTF????? There goes our #5 ranking......

You got ranked number five byFIFA because most of your oponents in your part of the world suck. The ranking is based on the number of games you've won and the number of times you've qualified for the world cup etc.. America is by far not the fifth best football team in the world. Americans and Mexicans are lucky that their countries are situated where they are. No competition at all.

By the way, that Ghanian player who waved the Israeli flag plays in Tel Aviv and was waving the Israeli flag to show love for his Israeli fans and club mates. The Ghanese football association apologized on his behalf..
|
Quote:
"Ghana Football Association officials have apologised after Hapoel Tel Aviv defender John Paintsil waved an Israeli flag to celebrate the World Cup win over the Czech Republic.
Spokesman Randy Abbey said Paintsil wanted to thank the people who had travelled to support him.
Abbey added: 'He is unaware of international politics. We apologise to anybody who was offended.
'We promise that it will never happen again.
'He did not act out of malice for the Arab people or in support of Israel. He was naive...we don't need to punish him.
'We are not in support or against Israel or the Arab nations. We are here to do football, we are not here to do politics.'"

The Brazillian defense is weak as was displayed today against the Japanese. The Japanese could've beaten Brazil had they been a little bit more offensive. You cant defend your goal for 90 minutes against a team like Brazil. Eventually they will score.

Anyway, I think Argentine will win this year.. those mofo's have come out the strongest out of all teams and they have the most complete squad.. I just love their style of football. Eventhough I will be rooting for Brazil if the Ghanese are kicked out.

Brazil-Ghana should be a great game. Black Stars wil miss Essien, how sick must he be feeling? Only getting to the final would compensate...
For something completely different, look at how someone who was once one of the UK's favourite football pundits has been spending his World Cup:

Why for meBrazil are still the favourites, even more than Argentina, is that every other team seems to have a peak performance which they are at or working towards. Brazil seem to have a basic wayof playing whichis goodenough to beat most teams but ifan opponentgets cheeky and scoresBrazl just seem to have these different gears they can just changeon demand.
