Who said that an African team won't win the world cup this year..... 2/3 of the French team are of African decent that's the overall majority viva la France.

This world cup has not beenthe most entertaining for me. The 2002 world cup was perhaps much better. The Italians don’t deserve to win this world cup; there something empty about this world cup…feels strange like your missing your soul or something.


I hope the South Africans in 2010 host a better quality tournament.

In a few days now no doubt we will find out about the racist abuse that Zidane received from the Italians. Racism is the currency in Seria A, ask Viera, Henry and any other dark skinned player of note.

As dissapointed as I was with the result Zidanes headbut had me laughing hard... so raw! Who headbuts someone in the chest? LOL LOL

What an Idiot...he ruiined it for his whole damn team. Liliam Thuram is 34 he can't play no more, same goes for a few others. They only wanted IT on more time...

Overall, a World Cup without a consistently outstanding player or team; football of varying quality; and even fewer goals than the last time. Team play outshone individual flair; defences beat attacks. Seems to be the way of things internationally these days.....

Top 3 moments:

1. Ghana's second goal against the Czech Republic....they didn't fulfil their promise this time, but they'll be back.

2. Argentina's second goal against Serbia/Montenegro.......all 26 passes. The best passage of play in the tournament.

3. Cristiano Ronaldo's penalty in the shoot-out against England. Approach, execution, everything - an object lesson for the English. And the performance afterwards by Rio, Terry, et al.....priceless. Maybe that's when they finally got it that they weren't good enough.......and that's what hurt.

Roll on 2010.
