What a goal by torres. I suspect that the teams in serie A give inter too much respect when playing them, because you wouldnt have guessed that these were the runaway leaders of serie A by watching those two legs. so who's next on our hit list?

We finally have the missing link, a prolific goal scorer to rank alongside the ranks of Keegan, Rush, Aldridge, Barnes, Fowler and Owen.
And what a player Mascherano is. Is there a better holding midfielder than him in the world at present?

Yep, we've finally found our man to replace owen. Took rafa a while to find one! We have match winners up front in the central midfield and central defence. I guess what we need now is a world class left back not another second rate one and an ideal partner for torres to link up with. I think berbatov would be ideal. But what i think we need more than new players is for the winning mentality that we display in europe to also be used in the league.

Kunjufu - after three, 1, 2, 3...
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone!!!!

Berbatov would be a dream in the squad. Hes wasted at Tottenham.

What do you guys want to bet that the CL drawing will "mysteriously" pit Liverpool vs Man U in the next round and Chelsea v Arsenal?
LOL These "random" draws look more fishy every year

You know i was thinking precisely the same thing last year, after drawing Chelsea again. I bet there is at least one 'all English' fixture-guarenteed.

Interesting thought. Like i said i think we need to address the entire left flank and get a new left back and a left winger (i dont think left wing is babel's best position), but on the right wing and right back i think we are fine (provided rafa stops playing kuyt on the right, kuyt is a squad player at best imo). But most importantly a stronger winning mentality is needed in the league.
Im not happy with the draw. Even if things go our way and we beat arsenal, im getting sick of these semi-final encounters with chelsea.

Yup, then likely Chelsea, then possibly Man United in the final. Tricky draws, but as in the famous words of Kevin Keegan,
"ill just luv it if we beat them, luv it......
