Good result. Crouch showed why he should be playing more than an average of one in four games. I've seen that plessis guy play for the reserves before. I was impressed with what i had previously seen of him, but today i thought playing him away at the emirates was throwing him in at the deep end. Glad to see i was wrong. He didnt look out of his depth at all.

Yeah he looked OK.....Apparantly we have a few other good reserves who are winning trophies. Who else should we keep an eye out for?

Moving on, rumours are Aaron Lennon may be coming to either us or Newcastle at he end of the season. I'm a bit undecided about him.

If we're going English then Id rather have Bentley off blackburn to be honest.

The reserves have won back to back fa youth cups, currently top of the youth league, and just won some overseas tournament called the dallas cup. Two or three of them should be in with a chance of first team. The ones getting the good reviews are Nemeth (striker), Hobbs (defender-on loan at scunthorpe) and insua (left back). Guthrie who's on loan at bolton has impressed, but it looks like we're going to sell since we've got a lot of talent in centre mid.

I heard about the aaron lennon rumours. Dont know what to make of it really. Two years ago i would have been buzzing at the prospect. He's still a good player though. But like rafa said i would rather have bentley, and there have been rumours linking us to him. He has stalled signing a new contract at blackburn, because he wants to play european football and boost his england prospects, he says.
