Just heard on the radio that some sort of exchange deal involving William Gallas could be done with Ashley Cole. Anyone know anything about this?

Think Chelsea would be crazy to let Gallas go to Arsenal......Spurs would be a better destination - but I'm biased....niceone.gif

Ashley Cole is good but if Arsenal get Gallas & cash for Cole thats a great bit of business.

Ummm I reckon that Chelsea got the better deal seeing as Cole was valued at about 20 million

Cole is one of the best left backs in Europe and he has that attack mind.

Gallas is seriously underated and supremely superior to Ashley Cole. Ashley is pure hype and finally he has left Arsenal I won't have to listen to eager Arsenal fans insisting the fool is the best in the world.

Dude is average at best and Mourinho will find out that he is inferior to Wayne Bridge and that's real.

Arsenal now have Gallas who is one of the best central defenders in England and for me as a Man Utd fan that pisses me off. I was happy with Arsenal having Senderos and Cygan. It amused me. Gallas does not. He is fast, strong, clever and brave and that is vexing.

I hate Arsenal but I'll only call a player crap if it's true. I would never insult Henry, Fabergas, Eboue etc those are quality players. Cole was not ever among them except in his own mind and the celebrity press. Watch more closely now. You'll see.

I AM an Gunner supporter also but facts are facts....how far did we go without this muppet (a Kunjufu term) ? We were winning the CL without him because our left full back stayed at home and never attacked. The attack had focused on the right as Eboue was our best attacking back all year in fact I will go out on a limb to say he is better than Lauren at his prime. Why because Eboue looks to make that run that forces a defender to cut him off from goal and open space n the box for an attacking player. Ass-Shee Cole runs forward aimlessly gets the ball and it hits the high part of his shin and he looses it to the other team or out of touch OR he shanks a shot or makes an errant pass up front. Being fast he breaks up a lot of stuff but that is about it. Ash-Shee wanted to leave because he knew he had a fight for his job in Clichy and the up and coming Hoyte and considering Flamini did a decent job there he was shown that he was not crucial to Arsenal's success

gallas is dope, he is quick, good in the air, disciplined, good tackler and a LEGITAMATE goal threat. He is better than Terry trhats for sure

he is better than cole, but arsenal still got jacked. should have been 8-10m + gallas based on the fact that chelsea were willing to spend 16m on Cole and that gallas would not have fetched more than 6-7m due to age and his contract length

Cygan???? he must know someone in mgmt. We needed gallas because the African Swiss kid seems scared of contact sometimes and Kolo is not a commanding presence. He is tactically ok and quick but he does not boss the backline and Lehman never does anything with his mouth but smack on his gum. Heck I can here him smacking from the field mikes LOL

Great week for Arsenal...not only do we lose Ass-She and gain Gallas, we get rid of the Spanish Black hole (ball passed in and never back out) Reyes and dump off err sell Cygan to Villareal

We sell off three usesless player gain one of the best defenders in the world and have cash from all three sales........Besides West Ham's deal we have to have made some of the best backroom dealings for a while now if only we WOULD BUY SOMEONE DECENT in January.......

safety I was telling some Chelsea support the same thing..I believe we got the better end of the deal with the ASS Lee Gallas swop....and to land Bastista wow!!!
