About time....

However, it's going to take a long time to clear the sport of cheats.

I hope he serves the full 8 year ban.

The track-star as NFL receiver experiment is over.

What a dissapointment...

Seriously...

Now I may have faith, to make mountains fall;
But If I lack love, then I am nothing at all...
I can give away everything I possess;
But if I\'m without love
Then I have no happiness...

Burning..I was agreeing with you....

Sports Illustrated had a "where are they now" update..and RN is a sports agent now.....

Gatling made a lot of money during his career.... hope he still has most of it...

on another note...ANOTHER athlete has allegedly tested positive LaTasha Jenkins....waiting confrimation from B sample...

mods erased my marion jones thread ...but she tested postive also....and they are waiting fro b sample result to confirm it....

NOT a good year for track and field in USA....

Jenkins is also linked to trevor graham.....the coach who has been suspended from the sport becuase so many people tied to him have had positive test results

It was a good year for Track and Field in USA

because you've finally got rid of three cheaters..

They say that Trevor Graham has 9(!) athletes who have been tested positive...maybe it's time for the USA to stop this man

"Some people believe football is a matter of life and death. I\'m very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that."

Isn't he getting off lightly(as opposed to the life-time ban,2nd offence and all that)cos he promised to grass on others using drugs,after maintaining that he didn't know how it got into his system??

I love athletics (used to take part) but now feel the whole thing lacks so much credibillity..

such a shame!

Husk,

trevor has been banned..and in typica lfashion....the day they anounced the ban..sports oulets here keptmentioing that he was Jamaican...

when his athletes were winning he was an "American" success story....

======================================

To me...Marion Jones and Gatling testing positive...all but kills the sport......years after the issue of steroids hit the mainstream media....these two heavily recognizable and marketable athletes comeup positive in steroid/epo tests? means they were cheating all along...

it makes track and field seem like a complete joke...that NOTHING is real about the sport...and even people who don't trust the media and thought it was a witch hunt have turned back on the sport...

fan base is gone....and sport is never gonna be seen as clean..at least not in USA

That's what a lot of people say when a big star get caught for steroids. But, NO, the sport is not dead and will not be gone. This is of course not good for Track, but there will always be alot of fans, track will still survive and stillbe popular. The same thing could be said about cycling and other sports.

Coaches like Trevor Graham needs go away though. He should be banned for life...I can't stand him.

I hope the best looking woman in track is clean and NOT on steroids.

Me'lisa Barber: So beautifulclp)
