This bood was written by who looks like an Arab European Brazillian guy. LOL

Hes a journalist. An he pretty much explains what Ive suspected all along about world soccer not to give the sport the only axe becauseother popular proffesional sports are in the same boat.

If you ever wondered about cheating in European leagues, political scams to determine world cup winners in Brazil and other parts of the world, why the African teams do poorly in world cups despite having so much talent then this is the book for you.

Also as in with some teams having computers to know every players tendencies on their opponet and other teams not having the same priveledge I suspect thats also true among other popular proffesional sports.

The computer parts are accurate. I remember Man United pioneering that in the premiership actually. Trackers attactched to the players show where they were running, what zones, how much mileage a player had covered all sorts, average speed as well.

Theidealogyof football is that all you need is a ball and some goalposts but the modern age is making things different. Only to a certain extent though. Essentiallyit still boils down to eleven men against eleven men no matter what technology they use.

How big is that certain extent? As big as it is around the world how would it change if the top ten ranked national teams were from Africa?

The book is a must for all futbol fans who want less fantasy and more realism.
