Yeah the NFL channel is saying that he ingested 35 pills using the Dallas Police as the source on their ticker. At first they said that he had an adverse reaction to the pain killers he was taking after his operation.

Two rumors already LOL

Cowboys' Owens attempted suicide, police say
'Depressed' star rushed to hospital after overdosing on pain medication
DALLAS - Flamboyant Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens tried to kill himself by overdosing on pain medication, police said, even putting two more pills into his mouth after a friend intervened.

A Dallas police report released Wednesday morning said Owens told his friend “that he was depressed. Details of the report were first released by WFAA-TV.

The friend, who is not identified in the report, “noticed that (his) prescription pain medication was empty and observed (Owens) putting two pills in his mouth, the police report said.

The friend attempted to pry them out with her fingers, then was told by Owens that before this incident he’d taken only five of the 40 pain pills in the bottle he’d emptied. Owens was asked by rescue workers “if he was attempting to harm himself, at which time (he) stated, ‘Yes.’

Owens was hospitalized late Tuesday because of what his publicist said was an allergic reaction to pain medicine he was taking for a broken hand. Doctors reportedly tried to induce vomiting.

Dallas Police press conference says that they did not release the report on suicide and are not sure how it got out. The DPD has said that it was a medical emergency and according to the privacy laws and the fact that it was a medical emergency and not a criminal issue they are not involved and would not release such information.

The Hospital says he was released......

Stay tuned for the Dallas Press Conference at 2:30 pm eastern ........

Now before anyone jumps on the man.... I want to say I am not a TO fan but I know he is a great athlete ........

He had a bad reaction to the medicine before last night. Was this the same thing again blown out of proportion? Sometimes it does not take an overdose to cause a bad reaction to medicine.....

These white people are dragging his name through the mud this morning....... Calling him mentally unstable ... Does Jeremy Shockey not act the same as TO? What about Kyle Turley or Ryan Leaf? Don't even get me started on Clinton Portis and his many manymany alias LOL

NFL Notes: Owens rushed to Dallas hospital
TV report says vomiting induced

Saints homecoming ESPN ratings hit
Sep.27, 2006. 06:25AM

Terrell Owens was taken to the emergency room for an undisclosed reason last night, and doctors treating the Dallas Cowboys receiver were trying to induce vomiting, according to a television report.

Owens was brought by a fire rescue crew to Baylor Medical Center, Dallas-Fort Worth television station KTVT reported, citing sources the television station did not identify. A reporter for the station later said she saw Owens being wheeled down the hall.

Calls to Owens' agent, his publicist and the Cowboys were not immediately returned. The hospital told the Associated Press that they do not have a patient registered by Owens' name.

KTVT said a Dallas police spokesperson was en route to the hospital to talk about a "high profile case.''

Owens broke the bone leading to his right ring finger a week ago Sunday night. The next day, a plate was screwed in, protecting the bone so it can heal without further damage.

Earlier yesterday, Cowboys coach Bill Parcells said he expects Owens to rejoin his teammates at practice today and would start Sunday in Tennessee if he proves he can play.

the thing is....any story involving death...or possible death is gonna be front page story.....

there are spies in police and in every organization that will leak info to the media for the right price...in fact a few weeks ago..member of cowboys' office leaked the story that TO had missed a practice/film session........

seems as though story is being retracted.....and expect a lawsuit from cowboys or TO.....

Yes, TO is a brilliant athlete. He is arguably one of the best conditioned athletes in the league. But he is still crazy and is all too willing to fall into the loud-mouthed, high paid, showboating stereotype they have built for us.
