I'm hearing some sour grapes now.
What can I say. Please stop coming with that rubbish that it was only kids playing.
Fabregas, Gallas, Sagna and Adebayor all played. Nuff said. History will state that Arsenal (not their 'B' or 'F' team got a whupping tonight from spurs.

Its commendable of him to hand this competition over to the kids when were winning eveything but no silverware for acouple years, we should have cleaned up on this one.
They got us to the semi-final 2nd leg, this leg should have been a training session for Adebayor and co.
And why wait till we're 4 nil down to bring them mans on???
This new team have worked damn hard to put us back up in the top 4, the least he could have done is let them taste some glory FFS! Its not like we're guaranteed to win anything this season either.
It is kinda hilarious to have to read all the texts from the stupid spurs fans who are acting like they won the damn champions league - the kids got spanked coz they played like shit.. This was the same as them beating flippin Yeading!"

Melissa he has played the Carling Cup like this for years. Why change it now? We bled Fabregas there. We bled Adebayor there. It was just the Carling Cup. The only teams that play full strength sides in it are teams that are not in the other competitions.
Cesc came on because of the Denilson injury, I am sure he was not looking at coming on that soon if at all. Adebayor and Eduardo came on with no real rhythm as our kids were scared sh*tless.
Oh well it has been almost a decade so Spurs had to beat us at one point or another

True, but as long as you and I KNOW the truth. I mean if your brother can say it in his posting why can't you? And then because you beat a team with 4 A teamers (in which 3 subbed on) and the 3rd string keeper and all of a sudden you are WORLD BEATERS?!?!?!?

No such thing as first or second team in modern rotation football. You lose you lose. Bollocks to the excuses and whining. Kids my arse, the two teams have players about the same age for goodness sake and if anything Arsenals players have more games and experience under their belts. Done with the bullshit Arsenal fans. Stop bleating about kids, you sound like David O'Leary and his "babies" at Leeds. Very droll.

You were SUPPOSED to beat that team, the fact that you are all rejoicing now shows how good the kids are SUPPOSED to be, but they were not today, this reflects in the score line.
When you played our FIRST team you lost, as per usual. As soon as Adebayor came on we scored! Do you really thing you would have had the same result had Flamini, Rosicky, Toure, Almunia etc been on the pitch? come on now!
Justin Hoyte, Gallas and Walcott were ridiculously bad today.

Here you go Melissa, talking about Arsenal not playing well. The simple reason for that was that Spurs did not let them play their fluent football last night.
But lets also talk about some of the points you raised above.
First you stated about when Arsenal and Spurs last met at the emirates. If you looked at the team sheet at that game. You would have noticed that spurs were without a few first teamers as well (No Dawson, King, Bale, Zokora or Jenas) yet we still matched you on the day only to lose 2-1. And Yes Arsenal did have their full squad and was also lucky to win as well..
Fabregas, Sagna, Gallas, Adebayor and Eduardo all played in last nights game. I personally think that Wenger knew that your so called 'kids' werent' going to handle the pressure of a important tie hence why he had such players on the subs bench.
Lets not also forget that Spurs so have a few kids in their team as well, so whether we win or lose we don't go bleating on about it (Lennon, Huddlestone, Bale, Kaboul, O'Hara, Taraabt, Boateng)
Secondly, if it was such a useless cup, why were these guys playing?

Arsenal fans can always use the "Kids" or "Carling Cup" excuse, but losing 5-1 to your local rivals is just not on
If anything Wenger should have played his strongest team- being a local derby.
I cannot imagine us playing an under-strength team if we were to play Everton at Goodison.

Damn I guess everyone was happy to see our kids lose 5-1? LOL
I guess everyone seems to forget how I said they were kids when they tied Spurs. Nah we will throw that out the window. We will also throw out the window of Arsenal always blooding the youth B team in this tourney.
Oh well it was just the Carling Cup to us, unlike others who hope Man U and Chelsea win out so that they can make the UEFA cup.
And Rafa how can you talk? The only team Liverpool has beaten this month are Luton Town and they tied them the first time LOL

True a cup is a cup, but how else do you get a chance to blood new kids into the limelight? Win lose or draw, this is the best competition for them to learn in. It does not damage the league title chase if they f**k up and it does not damage the CL chances.
This also allows your B team to exercise and be of use for the other more important things. What other competition could you see giving the 3rd choice keeper a chance? Cesc came through here, Clichy came through here, and a host of others as well, so why whine about it and change it now? Chelsea took down our kids a couple of years ago our mixed in starter were supposed to be there to simply calm the kids nerves and the captain did a bad job of that.
So much that Adebayor apparently wanted to get in Bentdner's ish. LOL I think Bendtner's days are numbered. He seems to be a legend in his own mind.
Oh well every dog has its name.

FA to study Arsenal 'head-butt' footage - Football News - Telegraph
The Football Association will study television footage of the altercation that took place between Arsenal team-mates Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner during their Carling Cup exit at Tottenham before deciding whether to take action.

Adebayor clashed with team-mate Bendtner in the latter stages of Arsenal's 5-1 second-leg rout at White Hart Lane last night while attacking a corner in the penalty box.
Heat of the moment: Adebayor and Bendtner were involved in an ugly spat last night
Arsenal captain William Gallas stepped in to try and calm the situation but was confronted by the young Dane before referee Howard Webb intervened to prevent the episode from developing.
Bendtner was left nursing his nose following the incident as if to suggest his team-mate had head-butted him, but Webb decided not to take action against the pair as he did not see the entire incident.
As the Yorkshire official did not witness the episode, the FA have asked broadcasters to provide any relevant television footage which will also be shown to Webb for his opinion.
If the referee decides that action should have been taken on the night, such as a red card for violent conduct, the FA will be able to issue charges against any individuals.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger failed to see the incident, even though a member of the Arsenal medical staff held Adebayor back until the rest of the players had gone down the tunnel.
Gallas, meanwhile, who was at close hand believes a lack of maturity was to blame for the fall out. He said: "They know they have made a mistake and they will have to explain why they did that.
"I don't know exactly what happened. I think everyone was disappointed about the score. It was very difficult to accept.
"They are both young and nervous but they have to understand. We lost our calm."
Arsenal were 4-1 down when the incident occurred seven minutes from time. Adebayor had already been booked having only come on as a 65th-minute replacement for Theo Walcott.
It compounded a miserable night for Arsenal who suffered a 6-2 aggregate defeat at the hands of their north London rivals.

I'm sure Man Utd getting beat by Coventry in the 3rd round was the beginning of the end for Fergie.

Wenger should have played his strongest team - if a Wembley cup final and a LOCAL DERBY isnt an incentive then i dont know what is.
This was a good chance for these "kids" to taste some form of glory - especially after what happened last season in the Carling Cup final.
Its no good blooding youngsters if you got no trophies to show for it
On second thoughts, didnt Adebayor, Cesc, Hleb, Gallas, Eduardo, Gilberto all play? They're no kids.
