Ok I'm going to be the first to say it openly, I think the gunners are beginning to look like a championship team in the making.....Remember we have Senderos, Lauren ans Clichy to come back into defence, to add to what is beginning to already look like a formidable Black line of Eboue, Toure, Gallas and Diabe...
Note I haven't even touched on Gilbert or Hoyte yet....
Then you take our midfield.... Ricky, and Hleb are begining to gel, then you have Ljunbung, Fabregas, Flamini Gilberto and the BEAST..yet to find form and bwoy things are looking promising... Song has yet to find his feet
But wait...I haven't talked about, Henry, Van (screamer) Persie, Adebyor, Walcott..and lets remember Walcott hasn't warmed up yet....I think he will be another Henry/Anelka in the pipeline.....
and Lets not forget we still have Mad puss Lehman in goal...
I think Arsenal haven't got into their stride yet and someone is due a good arsing from the Gunners very soon.....
**and in case thier is any lingering doubt, I think we got the BESt end of the Cashley cole/Gallas deal....what a steal Gallas was..stupis stupid Chelsea..Arsene must have wet himself laughing getting that player plus 5 million...in exchange for cashley...

I was wondering the same thing especially since Gallas is already scoring goals for us LOL How many times did Ashey (no spelling mistake) run aimlessly forward for us? Gallas creates and is decisive on the shots he takes and is not lightweight and can battle. The goofy part about this? He has the wight and class to neutralize Drogba. What was momo thinking?
We are starting to hit our stridde but we need to get Henry rested fully. Our young strikers are coming up though. Not sure how we will do in the rough and tumble EPL, but I think we are built for Europe, but if we play like we have started to, we will be back in the CL again next year. I just wonder if the kdis can stay interested in winning a league title long enough. Still trying to figure out where Baptista fits in with us.

I'm really blown away with the turnaround in confidence in everyone since we got that win at Old Trafford. Only 3 weeks ago people were making very diserespectful comments which were just not justified. But I feel we do need to remind ourselves of our situation, and this is the source of why I believe we will finish somewhere in the top 4, but a fair way behind Chelsea.
We have a really promising 1st team squad, but no depth. Everyone is on form at the moment, confidence is high and we are on a good run. Fast forward a few weeks and the clocks go back and our form traditionally takes a dive.
When all is said and done, we don't have a squad capable of challenging for the title. Chelsea have started eratically and I think most would agree they deserve to be somewhere near the foot of the table considering how they have played thus far. But this is the problem. They are playing badly and yet are within shooting distance. You really have to worry once Shevchenko hits form, and he is genuine quality so he will find his form, its just a question of when it will happen. They also have strength in depth, which is something we really cannot compete in.
Last Wednesday I was delighted when we beat Porto, but straight afterwards I was more worried about Gallas being injured. He really has been the changing factor because we don't look a soft touch at the back anymore and hes so quick. I was so worried when I feared he would be out for weeks. And this is the problem. We lose Gallas, or Lehmann, or Toure, or Fabregas, Gilberto, we really have got problems for cover in these areas. If anything happens to any of these players, we are in trouble.
And we will get injuries.
I like Clichy but hes got a very poor injury record. I am concerned he may just become a bit part player. Rumour is he will be given to Christmas to make a case for making the left back slot his own, if not Wenger is gonna raid Europe in January for a left back to come in.

NorthLondon49er: Whilst I was a bit dingy about our chances this season, I never dissed Arsenal.... However looking at their form and the players still to come into the side..I'm predicting big tings for the Gunners this season and the next...

I would say we can go on to big things this season, and in Europe we have some unfinished business. I really do think we can go all the way, and even Chelsea can be got at in a one-off scenario as their average cup form has shown since Moaninho arrived. But the Premiership is theirs because they will still be the only ones to get more than 90 points. Its become the benchmark now and a sign that the bar has been well and truly raised. In all the years of our duels with SAF they got more than 90 once, and us once as well. Ours occurred when we had that amazing season going unbeaten, something that happens once in a lifetime another words. Chelsea have a quality replacement for every position, which is something none ofanyone of the restcan boast. Chelsea have racked up more than 90 points for each of the last 2 years.

Northlonder49er: good points however I think Chelski have over reached themselves this season....I suspect their squad is going to become very unhappy very soon about not getting first team football on a regular basis... We can see the Joe Cole might be out by Jan 07, Wayne Bridge has to feel hard done by..given his form and Cashley Coles patchy form to date... How is Mourinho going to play Lamp's, robben , Essien, Makele, Ballack and Wright Phillips and still maintain a balance... Nope I think Chelski might become unstuck this time round...

I agree about the disharmoney because that is starting to spread like wildfire. But they have been dealing with Robben's tantrums since he first arrived, and Joe Cole is a luxury as opposed to a neccessity. Not sure how the rest will pan out, but to me it looks ominous that they have played so badly and yet are so close to the top. It would be encouraging for us all to think that it could be like a domino effect and the whole empire will come crashing down, but I'm not sure its that clear cut.
There is a spitefulness which shines through their transfer policy. Its usually a case of they want someone to stop anybody else having him, rather than actually finding someone to serve their own means. This will only continue should players leave in January. If the stories are true that the West Ham takeover is collapsing, then the Argentines are on their way shortly after thedecorations come down. Where to remains a mystery, but who else would be able to place down large payments up front? The release clause rumours are legendary, but in any case you are looking somewhere in excess of £40m for the pair. Only Chelsea could do this.

Northlondoner: Yes you are right to a point, however I tend to think that if you survive on luck, at some point it tends to run out.......and I think Chelski have been lucky thus far...

You've got a point there about the luck K, they have had so much luck over the last 2 seasons its untrue. It has to end sometime, but when?
If Im honest K the only thing that gives me hope is that somewhere after 5 successive titles, this Roman is gonna get bored. Maybe he will sell up and and move into Formula 1 or something else. When he does Chelsea don't have the infrastructure to survive in their current state.

Why is Chelsea a joke Kunjufu? Roman brought in cash and players and now has two EPL titles.Thats damn good if you ask me.
I told you'll in 04 that there will be an influx of billionaire into the EPL and it slowly happening.Expect Villa to improve also.

Burning Spear: chelski are a joke team, because their house is built on sand and it simply can't last... If you compare them to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Man UTD, Arsenal..the common factor is that these teams have built up a whole infrustructure to support their continued existence..this includes bigger grounds to be financially viable, a youth squad and a culture...
No forgive me but Stamford Bridge cannot sustain the millions paid in wages or on players, the number of overpriced players brought negate having a youth squad...and worse..what would be the contingency if roman kack it? Chelski is just here forbthe beer, but when that done so will they...
