Big fight? Just one great boxer and one boxer who used to be great. De la Hoya ist history...no chance.

2am sunday morning sky sports 1.
Tough one to call. The fight is evenly mathed up with regards to experience.
I think Mayweather might just shade it, he is veryfast, has a great chin, never goes downand technically sound. Mayweather trains at greaterintensity than Oscar, he trains even when hehas no fight agenda. He also has great defence, very difficult to hit.
The slight hiccup might be Mayweather’s stepping up a weight class, Oscar has been performing at this division for ages.
Oscar De La Hoya appears to be the bigger man and might be too powerful for Floyd, that’s if he can get in close and land good body shots and his favourite quick left hooks.
The issue with Oscar is he has only fought once since losing to Bernard Hopkins back in 2004, he has lost 3 of his last nine fights; he also had to lose some weight to make the fight weight.
Its hard to call but imgoing for Mayweather

I putting money on OSCAR KO1, KO2 KO3 or KO4
He is just too big for Mayweather. I'm pretty sure Prety Boy gets in a couple of sharp body shots but I doubt he has the firepower to really worry ODH who I have never seen really proper hurt
Oscar has that left hook and Mayweather defence is sometimes open to a left hook. Oscar will only have to catch him couple of times flush and it will be goodnight vienna
I want Mayweather to win but he jst bitten off more than he can chew this time round
I worry for his confidence if he loses. Will he 'get on with it' or will he be like Naseem and just crumble

Shame if he does. Still feel he has alot to prove. He hasnt dominated a division since he was 135lbs and his resume is missing some i portant fighters( cesameyor, hatton, cotto, etc)
Tell you how clueless the bookies are
Ladbrokes has Mayweather 80/1 to win in the first round, Fair enough you may say
Checked DLH's odds of winning in the 1st round
100/1
So the bookeis are essentially saying that Mayweather has more punch power or better chin. Or both
I'm gettin rich on Saturday

Yes I do see your point regarding Oscars supposedly superior strength. But he is the one who has been wondering whether to fight. He is the one who hasn't boxed for a year. And he is the one effectively coming out of retirement one more time.
He looked decent in his last fight against Ricardo Mayorga but Ricardo Mayorga isnt in Mayweathes class.
We shall see if his sparing sessions with Shane Mosley have helped him cook up a game plan to nullify FM’s speed.
We all know Mayweather has been boxing regularly, he is at the top of his game and the peak of his powers. He is a different class to those out there. Speed neutralises a lot of disadvantages and I think it might be a telling factor.
Mayweather hasn’t really been hit in all his 37 fights; except when he fought Castillo, he had some sticky moments but he over came that with aplomb. I believe if he can take ODH’s power, then its Good night Vienna to Oscar.

Nah they're saying he'll come out faster and probably assuming Oscar will try to stretch him.

Betfair
stuck £2 on Oscar from rounds 1-12 exluding round 2 where I put £3
£25 in total covering every single round and the lowest I will get if oscar wins inside the distance is £70, the highest is £282 if he wins in the 2nd
Ladbrokes, put a pound on Oscar to win in rounds 1-3 at 40/1, 4-6 at 20/1, 7-9 at 17/1 and 10-12 at 16/1
Put a pound on pretty boy to win 10-12 at 17/1
There is no good value bet for a mayweather win. He is unlikely to stop Oscar and he is 2/1 on to win on points.
All in all I've put 30 boys on this fight,
Much like when I put 30 on England to win the world cup, this will be one bet I dont mind losing, although i certainly wont be crying if I win
