cogs Roy Jones Vs Felix Trinidad - 12-01-08, 09:35 PM

Next Saturday night, 19th the tear-up will begin. Cant wait.

Frank Warren will also likely announce the date for the Hopkins Vs Calzaghe fight, which is now a done deal.

I can't get excited about it. It's been too long since either of them fought and neither was at peak the last time they did either. Two has-beens imo.

Felix is too small, far too unfit and blunted and Roy has been a joke since dropping all that heavyweight weight and his Tarver losses.

I thought these two were both retired and hadn't even heard of this fight.

They're not at their peaks but who cares, they're two big-timers. Boxing needs this type of fight for the 'Big Draw' entertainment. Much rather watch this than two current champions no-one has ever heard of.

Big names man but I'm saying it won't exactly be big fun. And boxing doesn't need a high profile heavily hyped flop when MMA is on the up and up in viewership.

I will want Hopkins to win most definately but Calzaghe is a p4p fighter and is gonna present Hopkins with all sorts of problems. The last time Hopkins looked good was against Tarver but Antonio's workrate is exceptionally poor. Workrate is one of Calzaghes best attributes an I be interested to see how he keeps him off him

I think Hopkins is astute and knows that Joe is week to the body but will he have the handspeed to exploit it

Calzaghe ain't never met a man like Hopkins in his boxing career.... like Mayweather......Hopkins even out of competition keeps that competitive edge fit as a fiddle and mentally sound even at 42-43 it wouldn't make a difference.Joe to be knocked the hell out!!

one will need a bigger lie to cover the first one

The Hopkins and Calzaghe fight will be in April apparently.

I do think this fight will be more interesting than the Hatton vs Mayweather fight.

Hopkins has a dam good CV, however some may argue that he is past his prime.

Calzaghe is a tougher fighter than Hatton, however his CV does not match up to Hopkins.
