Still getting drunk and fat as this report shows

Hatton's New Year bender - 57 pints in four days (without the vodka, alcopops and chasers - and chips!) | the Daily Mail

one will need a bigger lie to cover the first one

Taking a loss is the ultimate measure of a boxer. Will the guy break down completely or hold it together? Will he be in denial and proclaim he was robbed and fail to address his weakneses as a result? Will he be gracious to the winner or bitter about it? Most importantly, will he have the resolve and drive to come back and fight again?

From what I've seen of Ricky's interviews and statements since his loss I don't think he can come back for a fight anytime soon. The guy sounds depressed and mentally destroyed. I think his self belief took a big blow. He's been in the papers talking about crying (imagine a boxer saying such a thing!) when he remembers "that" fight and can't watch even watch the video. Which is a bad thing for him since he won't see where he went wrong or why he wasn't good enough.

I'm not saying Ricky's over as a fighter but coming back won't be anytime soon

I think crashing into the turnbuckle like say its WWF really bugged him. If he went to points and lost a decision he would have been ok. I dont think he uis done though. He can come nack and destroy malignani fotr the IBF light Welter an if Witter keeps his belt they could have a unification in the City of Manchester Stadium

You ever heard of the Golden Rule. He who has the gold makes the rules!

He who asks is a fool for five minutes. He who never asks remains a fool for ever.

Remember the Trevor Berbick wobble against Iron Mike Tyson

If Witter beats Hopkins in March there is no need for him to fight Hatton just yet, but if he loses, he should fight Hatton as soon as it can be arranged.
No doubt, Hatton will beat him within six to sevens round.
