Although i am sorry about what happened to them, i fail to see why they loading up support for the demonstration against the Chinese!

China is none of their business because throughout the article neither of them showed a knowledge on the complexities of the issue at hand. I am not in anyway excusing the Chinese actions in Tibet province(yes, thats what it is...all this autonomy business is pathetic if they knew their history properly instead of being lead like drunks by Western propaganda) but what is their point?

And whats up with the problem on the one party state? So? Are they now in support of the Western ways of doing politics? Even if that same system ripped their lives apart when they went home and were ostracised for standing up for themselves?

Apart from the first half of the article, i don't really get their point. The black salute was for us(very obvious), i never thought it was for all the world's supposed wronged people...or was it?

PS: I am not in anyway of fan of China....in fact i was one of the few people here on BN who did NOT load up on Chinese investment in Africa and the Caribbean.

I simply found the article a bit stupid and without cause.

Mez; fair point indeed I wondered the same thing myself reading the article.... However I was alway curious as to how these two faired after their black power protest... and I found that portion of the article interesting..

As for China and tibet...i've got to say The olympics people really messed up giving the games to China, and I suspect that the Olympics is going to be a mess if the protesters get their way this year....

The olympics like all major games nowadays has business and politics well tied up in with it, the Chinese hosting the games is a business/political thing a chance for them to show the world who they are and how far they've come... the number 8 is a lucky number over there hence their interest in the olympics for this year... its the Queens jubilee in 2012 hence this countries interest in hosting it that year... as its political its also a chance for the west and other countries to slate the chinese and highlight what they have been up to in Tibet, which in my opinion is bad but not that bad, there are worse things happening out there.

For them to say its has nothing to do with politics is ridiculous its always been a podium for countries to showcase themselves... Hitlers Germany even held the games and used it to that effect.

I wanted to know if the Dagara elders could tell the diffrence between fiction and reality. The elders did not understand what a starship is, they did not understand what the fussy uniforms had to do with anything but they recognized in Spock a Kontomble of the seventh planet... they had never seen a Kontomble that big.
