This has puzzled me for some time. Argentina are a great footballing nation, no question, but it has always baffled me how, even though they are neighbours to Brazil, a heavily black populated country, and the fact that all of the other surrounding countries have a significant numbers of Africans in their societies and in their football teams, that Argentina are conspicuious by our absence.

Do they not have a large population of Blacks, or is it that we are just not welcome there?

From what I understand there aren't many blacks in Argentina. Blacks in other central/south american countries normally got there fleeing slavery or as slaves. Argentina doesn't have a lavery history so most blacks didn't go there.
