Dear Rachael Maguire - Records Manager - London School of Economics and Political Science,

Thank you for the information that provides evidence of the performance of the Race Equality Scheme at the London School of Economics over the last few years.

I was horrified to see the gross incompetance in the management of the Race Equality Scheme that has resulted in no records kept about the relationship between Ethnicity and Job Level/Grade/Occupation at the London School of Economics prior to the year 2005-06.

Please can you, Rachael Maguire or the correct person;

1. Provide details of how the apparent poor management of the Race Equality Scheme over so many years has impacted on the lives of people classified as Black and Non-White within the London School of Economics and the communities that London School of Economics serves.

2. Provide an explanation as to how it was possible for suspect White Supremacist Racists saboteurs in the London School of Economics to have managed to ensure that no records have been kept about the relationship between Ethnicity and Job Level/Grade/Occupation at the London School of Economics for such a long period of time.

White Supremacist Racist saboteurs work insidiously to divert resources, kill, exploit and abuse Black and Non-White people over long periods of time. These White Racist Terrorists in positions of trust and authority can afford to plan years into the future because they are not suffering daily as a result of their very Smart, Clever, Sophisticated and Deceptive economic strategies

White Supremacist Racist Saboteurs like to make promises and create plans with no intention to deliver. Black and Non-White people will be killed, abused and exploited as a result of decisions made next week, next month and every month while the problem of White Supremacy continues to function via the system of Institutional Racism.

The infestation of the London School of Economics and Political Science with suspect White Supremacist Racists Saboteurs makes the London School of Economics and Politics a dangerous place for Black and Non-White people.

Gullible and trusting Black and Non-White people are confused and severely retarded on the subjects of Economics and Politics by very Smart, Clever, Sophisticated and Deceptive White Supremacist Racists in Education.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Yours in good faith and hope.

Dear Derrick,

As I explained in our response, data before 2005-06 did not exist in the form of a breakdown of occupations. Therefore, we did not have data to provide for the years previous to 2005-06 and as I also explained, we are not required to create data to meet a Freedom of Information request.

If you are unhappy with the School's response, you can request an internal review by contacting Andrew Webb, Head of Secretary's Division via email a.webb@lse.ac.uk or by writing to Andrew Webb, Head of Secretary’s Division, London School of Economics and Political Science, Houghton Street, London, WC2A 2AE. We will then review the response to your request and get back to you within 20 working days. You can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office Information Commissioner's Office - ICO, though they expect the internal review to be carried out before receiving a complaint directly.

Regards,
Rachael Maguire

Dear Rachael Maguire,

There is no attachment.

The staff occupation will be no use if it is not graded to show the job levels of authority. For example: There's no point putting the caretaker on the same level as the Director is there?

Please include this information.

Please resend.

Thank you.

Dear Mr Lynch

In response to your email of 1 August 2007, with regards your question 4, we have attached statistics from 2002-2006 regarding staff ethnicity percentages at the School. We have also been able to provide a breakdown for 2005-06 by staff occupation, however, we don't hold statistics further back than this. Future breakdowns will be available through the race equality scheme Race equality. Black and Minority Ethnic staff and students at LSE are currently involved in a review of the RES. The revised version will be published on LSE's website in due course, which is likely to be next year.

With regards your questions 1-3, the School has already provided answers in its response to you of 31st July 2007.

Regards,

Rachael Maguire

Dear Kevin Haynes,

Thank you for your reply on behalf of the LSE.

1) You said and I quote:

"There is no evidence of institutional racism at any of the LSE's departments academic or non-academic."

Is there any evidence to confirm that none of the LSE's departments academic or non-academic are Institutionally Racist which is the same as White Supremacist?

2) You said and I quote:

"We are not aware that the legislation prescribes a 'correct' number. We are working towards diversifying our staff at all organizational levels."

How will LSE know that LSE has actually managed to diversify staff at all organisational levels and that this work has been successful?

Have any targets been set?

3) You said and I quote:

"Our Equality and Diversity Committee and HR policies provide a School-wide umbrella to ensure that racism in any form or shape is proactively avoided, and if it exists, is effectively addressed."

Does the LSE actually ask prospective staff if they are Racist or not and record their replies?

4) Please would you send me, by post and email, information that shows how many Black and Non-white staff have been distributed throughout the LSE each year since 2002 compared to White staff at all organisational levels.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Kind regards

Derrick Lynch

Dear Derrick,

With reference to your request for information under the Freedom of Information Act, I am writing to inform you that your request has been refused for the following reasons.

Under the Freedom of Information Act, we are able to refuse to answer a request in some circumstances. In this instance, we are refusing to process your request because it was considered vexatious due to the School having previously responded to you with the same information. We also took into account the fact that your email went to 9 other LSE email addresses when you knew from previous two requests for information the names of the staff at the School who processed Freedom of Information requests.

You have previously been given information relating to the appeals process.

Yours sincerely,

Rachael Maguire

Records Manager

London School of Economics
