is their a place for black boys in the army?

My bro is 14 yrs old and has been a cadet for 4 years, he is now talking about going to army college which is brilliant as they have state of the art facilities and he learns while he trains to be an infantry soilder. My question is, is there a place for him there i have spoken at length to him about it, and about going to fight a war that only god knows who it has or will benefit. i have praised him for his ambicious motivations and mentioned that it will keep him of the off the streets, but is it all worth it when you come home in a box and a little white match stick cross marks your pre-existance of being a loyal solider, son, brother, etc.. All comments welcome, bcuz i feel like this
