Question Carrer choices for true self dependency - 19-07-08, 06:41 PM

Hotep,

I need you guys advice on which career path you think would be more suitable or beneficial for one who wants to be self reliant and eventually work for himself. I'm considering of being an electrician, but I'm also interested in electronics and seriously considering of doing a degree in electronics or electronic engineering. I've been told that it is more easier to be self employed as an electrician, as opposed to working in the field of electronics which can be quite diffucilt to work for yourself. Also to be really successful in electronics you would usually have to obtain a master degree.

Any advice on this matter would be appreciated.

Here is a torrent for the book:

Teach Yourself Electricity and Electronics (Gibilisco)

Teach Yourself Electricity and Electronics (Gibilisco, McGraw-Hi (download torrent) - TPB

These White people compartmentalize the knowledge and make separate fields where they don't need to exist. The electrons don't care.

Back in the day one semester cost me $1100. I didn't get a genuine EE course until 4th semester after I spent $4400. They started talking about Kirkhoff's Current Law. That book has it on page 76 and the book costs $35. Now they want $27,000 per year. At least that is what it was 3 years ago. I haven't checked since.

Understanding accounting is useful no matter what your career but it isn't as difficult as they make out either.
