In the very least, they do foster a deeper level of thought, hopefully to lead to understanding and that is important. I take religions and the offshoots of it as a rabbit hole, after going deeper and deeper, there is a threshold that religion is unable to go and that is spiritual realm. Knowledge of information is important as well, but its about connecting knowledge and spirituality together to sort out the rest of the details that seems to be amiss.

I am not a christian but in the bible there are indications that we are gods. I dont believe that just because someone doesnt act righteous means that they cant be gods, i dont think it makes a difference, afterall a God is supposed to know good and evil.

It's good that you did the research but these scriptures have to be taken in context. Psalm 82:6 is a reference to rulers, who were of old said to have had great power, and exercised it as if they were god's. The power of the "democratic state" and governmentnow detracts from the power of rulers in the vast majority of countries in the world, because the commonly held belief is that it is not good for one man to hold such great power. John 10:35 is a direct quote from Psalm 82:6. The last such ruler that the bible speaks of was Herod, see Acts 12:21-23. However if you are interested read Isaiah 13/14 which speaks of Lucipher, said to be the last king of Babylon and a direct agent of Satan the fallen angel.

Luke 17:21 is good, but this says that the kingdom of God is within us, not that we are God's. The context of the scripture is that people were waiting for a time when the kingdom of heaven would be physically realised on the the earth, but Yeshua corrects their wrong thinking, to say the kingdom starts in your heart - now, not at some point in the future. The kingdom of God is about peoples motives and actions more than a superficial claim to status or identity.

The scriptures from Genesis are interesting too, Adam and Eve would have lived forever if they had not eaten from the tree, so they were immortal, but they wanted knowledge beyond that which they were permitted to know, this is what caused their downfall. In fact the goal for man, as stated by scripture is to restore man to Eden, to the same state of immortality that Adam and Eve had before they sinned and lost their place there. The garden is represented as a city, on account of the multitude of the people who will inhabit it (read the context from chapter 21:1):

[14] "Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. [15] Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. (Rev 22:14/15)

Your personal belief is interesting, but remember that the scripture 1 Corinthians 12:12 refers to those who have accepted Yeshua and are said to be "a part of his body". I do believe God is in all of us, but there will come a time when God separates those who have followed the good inside them, from those who reject good and follow evil.
