there was a discussion and ultiamtely a dvd about "the secret" it has to do with metaphysics and power of the mind. i saw the dvd and thought it was interesting. alot of it, i already knew.

did anyone see it on oprah??

Well it's basically the law of attraction neatly wrapped up in a package to appeal to the middleclass.

If you've watched the Secret you'll see that it is mostly about how to attain things via using the Law of Attraction...instead of any encouragement towards the goal of spiritual unfoldment let's say.

LikeI say it's good for materialism, but bad for the opposite if used in the fashion they're encouraging...

It would've been better if Oprah highlighted at least What the bleep do we know!? Somehow I can't see that happening for her audience.

It seems to me there's a concerted effort to push forward the secret dvd, it's like people were into materialism before and if they have to know something, it has to point back to materialism disregarding everything else.

I'm reading too much into it.

as i had more time to think on it, i noticed people making so much money from this "secret'' i knew there was more to this, than meets the eye. they were playing on other's inecurities and lack of having the ultimate lifestyle. they used the law of attraction and i am sure it goes much deeper than visualizing and making lists and all.

what a way to make money.

maybe i should write a book on the law of something and make it appealling to less fortunate people and become a milionnaire over night. thats what happens. you get a targeted audience and you play on their emoitions.

very sad. i was intruiged for a minute , but then my wheels started turning.

There are many of these type of books and dvds available now. The Secret, Secrets Of a Millionaire Mind (or su'um like that) Cosmic Ordering, Think and Grow Rich.....loads!

Peacemaker is right, and what I think we all must know also is that these abilities were practiced looong before these white folk started marketing them to us. These are abilities that were practiced amongst Egyptians (kemet) and some African tribes and still are, this is where they get this knowledge from.

I mean you dont need to do any research about it, its actually quite obvious, white folk are not inherently spiritual. Alot of what these books are getting you into is ancient african spiritual practices like merkaba practiced by the Ausar Auset Society.

Before you misunderstand me thought im not knocking it at all, im getting into some of it also!

i did not see it. is it a pyramid scam?

there was one that came through churches a few years ago. everyone on the front end made money and at the last they could not find the leaders.

No its nothing to do with scaming people! Its just books on positive thinking and harnessing your natural positive energy and karma.
