i think i learn from my mistakes personally, if i don't then i soon will becuase it will come in the form of mental pain.

Humans learn through pain, and the African contient is no different.

As individuals rarely, meaning collectively extremely unlikely. Most people are superficial....a 9-5 is all it takes to forget something as inhumane as the maafa.

In the sense that we continually learn when our backs are against the wall then no. The only thing learned in that sense is history will continue to repeat itself, know your class and live life to the fullest within it...even if that means going grey

Hey Sis,

I think that we can learn from the past if we have the will to but what we do with the lesson is the next step!

Sometimes I think we are so busy getting on with life that we forget to stop now and then to reflect before repeating things that we didn't necessarily want to repeat . In the same way we then have the opportunity to use the things we do want to repeat.

It can take a while for some past things to even be thought about dependong on what it is, never mind learning from it. So it can be hard.

Learning from the past of our people is also something I think we can all gain from. The past I'd like to learn more about is of our succeses and accomplishment as a unified people. Maybe that could play a big role in how we can do it in this day and time.
