cogs Did The Creator create time? - 11-07-07, 04:08 PM

Did The Creator create time? Was God the almighty there before time, is that why we do not understand The Creators origins because our mind is limited to the realm of time?

Not only our minds are limited to time so are our bodies as well.

Since the day we are concieved and invited to the world of the living begins the time of our existance as mortals.

For me the Creator is always there. Before, now, and forever.

I guess the mind will determine using time whether we can accept the forever life that we spawn from.

Perhaps the mind is what limit us from it.

That depend on how you look at time doesn't it.

If one considers that time is merely an expression of movement within the physical realm then of course one would say the creator created time, time is simply in this instance a reflection of the relationship between cause and effect, each progressing one from the other, the creator thus becomes the cause without effect (in that he made the initial cause which started the chain reaction but the creator has no effect predating the creators existence).

One could also look at it as the ceator being time, or existing alongside it, which is a very ancient concept (for the kemitans you would see this as the kheperu [scarab beetle] ascending from non existence [kheperu representing eternity] with the creator and the "lesser gods" in tow). This would mean, not that time is a separate thing from the creator but that time is the creator and so doesn't have to be a created thing, which would explain why the creator is eternal.

One could also say that it is a mixture of both theories that is the how time came to be (the creator being the initial cause, the chain reaction of cause and effect [time] coming from the creators very being).

Just some theories I've come across (ones that I believe are credible for creation theories)

the right solution eludes me, I cannot conceive or perceive, as time has been my companion it has never been antagonstic to me, it has been a friend. And so, I have tried to look upon the companionship of time and again no words can avail.

Time would be a better companion if it was something that was reliable for a human. Humans tend to forget that time does not belong to them. They spend so much time planning 20 years ahead with no guarantee that it will ever be there, even in the next split second. Time is given on a whim, it is as fleeting a friend as can be ones own thoughts. I know time will be with me as long as I exist as this being, and so I know it will be my longest held friend but not my most reliable. sorrow is a much more reliable friend than is time. It lurks in the rear of all emotions and when it leaves, you can always be certain it will return, maybe at the end of your next fight, maybe at the end of your next smile.

I don't seek to understand time anyway, it is not within the domain of my current controllable capacity and so I search to understand that within nature that I can control (to an extent), that which I can truly comprehend and interact with. This I believe will bring me closer to wisdom, so I seek this path in it's entirety. Only problem with seeking wisdom though, is that it is in the nature of the person who seeks wisdom to find it and seek further wisdom, for it is not wisdom that brings happiness to the wisdom seeker, but the very practice of searching for that wisdom.

Anyway I'm ranting. Enjoy the time you have and understand the world you live in, then maybe you will know what time is and who created it (if indeed it was created).

The concept of time is just something man created. Everything exist in on plane, but I guess we just couldn't grasp that.

I would agree with you a lot more if I didn't know that every now and again, you check the time.

Time is not something that doesn't exist simply because humans decided it exists, if that were the case then language, colour and just about everything that has a name doesn't exist. I prefer to think of time as a tool rather than it not being in existence, for if we started rejecting everything on the basis of it being man made, there wouldn't be anything left (as there are very few universal laws)

PS, take no notice of the above, or this, they're all words created by man so they don't exist.

That's what I get for trying to be philosophical. Time exists..I don't think I said it didn't...but it's like it travels in one line all the time, forever. But we kind of got into it more by breaking it up into hours, days, months, years, etc. <----should've said that earlier. You get my drift now?

I suspect The Creator created time and size. Size is a concept difficult to grasp. In my mind it is like time....

NO!

Time just fell into place as an inevitable consequence of matter and energy.

How much of what we think about time is merely our distorted perspective of reality?

LOL

yeah i keep asking the same questions- what was there at the beggining?. what is nothing? nothing must be something? who created GOD?. did he come to existence all by himself? is it possible for something to arise from nothing? what created the big bang?.

who created GOD? and does GOD have parents?.

the way i see it maybe something really can come from nothing. if you say something is nothing in the start of time and life. what is that something.

if there was darkness around the universe b4 it was created that vast empty darkness its self is something. some things you have to accept that we'll never know till we die. and if i die and there's nothing after this ohh what a pointless life it has been then. i would have ended mine long ago .

some people just live to exist and thats what many of us are living in. kinda pointless if you asked me. people go through tpugh shit in thier live. slave day and night and die.. haha. SAD ISNT it ?. of course if your a billionare then life has been worth living because. you;v had your heaven here on earth.

i once thought heaven was for people who failed to succed in this life. back when i was younger. they need a reassurance that all thier suffering wasnt in vain.

but like i said i believe in GOD NOW. dont ask me why. i guess im scared to stand on my own.

its pointless if there isn a GOD. that why ill keep believing there's a GOD.
