Our primary impulse, as living beings, is to Survive...not to "die". Therefore, it is not unnatural to become anxious or uneasy (fearful) about the idea of "dying", especially when we cannot "know" what is on the "other side" until we cross over.
Imagine a doorway, with a black curtain, where you see people going in from time to time, but NEVER coming back. If someone were to ask you to step through that doorway, how would you feel about that, knowing that you have no reason to expect to return to your home, your family, your "life" as you know it?
How would a person feel about such an invitation?
