Default As a veiw into the diffrences between us this would have been intresting.... - 12-12-07, 05:23 PM

Limited title space.

As a view into the difference between us as Black African peoples and them as ''white'' caucasians this study group would have been interesting...

Time @ 20:40 if you get bored watching the whole thing which I would recommend.

An institute in the 1960's, by the name of Esalen, focused on personal change at an individual level to provoke a change in society. An attempt (by caucasians) to free themselves of, ''the matrix'' as a description of social conditioning. The idea was to allow people to express themselves and inner most fears/desires to free themselves of any repressed emotions understanding that consumerism is a play by government and corporations on peoples insecurities replacing a true solvent for psycological and social stresses with wants and, ''needs'', materialistic cravings and a 'keep up' mentality wherein people feel as devalued and depreciated just as consumers goods do with time, those goods being (apparently) indicative of said persons prosperity and social status.

They were studying human behavior and coming up with all sorts of medieval nonsense. Afraid that (their) populations subconscious animal instincts might corrupt society leading them to the deranged aggressive and murderous scenes as seen in Hitlers Germany where the average person committed inhumane crimes against others in a bout of mass hysteria... that is, of course, their given example of their population scumming to sudden displays of unprovoked, unexplained aggression toward other human beings, something that still goes unquestioned in western ''civilizations'' today as is seen in the european strain of racism as an unprovoked act of aggression.

Their fears that (their) society could slip into barbarism and loose anarchy as subconsious animalistic desires manifest is down to the europeans not having had stable conditions of living over the past thousand years, there are no ancient european texts on religious philosophy as abided by the population as a way of life as is seen elsewhere in the world. In my opinion they suffer from a delusion of grandure, coronating themselves as some kind of supreme race, who, for some reason, have laid dormant for a few thousand years and only realized their supremacy over others in the past 500, more to cover for their feelings of cultural (and perhaps genetic) inferiority.

The video was interesting because they tried the new form of psychological treatment, allowing people to express their innermost desires, with a group of Black African Americans and caucasian peoples in an attempt to resolve racial issues forgetting that our problem is their dormant animalistic manifestations of hatred and subsequent dominance, due to that manifestation, over us and our economies/nations. Hence our countries being ruled by the same base level instinctive system that is consumerism, something that conflicts with us quite simply because we don't, rather aren't used to, thinking on an individual level as they are, something which is the basis of their system, capitalism/consumerism.

Anyone thinking that we can, ''all get along'' should use this as an example as to why we can't, especially in these days of false utopianism. Any group attempting to do the same, have its members express themselves freely, will find they come across the same conflict.

**Was interrupted whilst typing this up and had to go out, should be in the Philosophy forum**
