the bible does not give such a doctrine, no knock on you bl. that is their practice...
suicide is not a good thing in any respect. and what leads a person to commit it is the problem.
here is one.....is it suicide when a trooper throws himself on a grenade to save fellow troopers...how about a father jumping into a raging current to rescue his child...
can anyone remember the incident quite a few years ago when a plane clipped a bridge in DC i believe it was and crashed in the frigid waters of the potomac...a man was seen passing the donut to others as the chopper lowered it down to pull them up...it was shown on tv where he passed it one last time to a lady and as she was being pulled up he submerged into the murky cold waters....
could his insurance company deny him benefits because of the self sacrifice...?
what about the catholics who were in the towers that no one knew of that perished...we just had a tragedy down here in galveston, tx when hurricane ike hit....1000s did not evacuate and perished many homeless etc. it is a cruel God that places entrance to heaven soley in the hands of man having to administer such a rite that could easily be omitted...
