It was the afro hair and beauty show this weekend and i was listening to a radio show that was talking a about how hard it is for black girls to break into mainstream modelling, it's a harsh proffesion and black girl's figures sometimes arnt like the waiflike figures of the white girls on the catwalk

on the other handis itharder for white girls to get into hiphop videos etc? (as evident on the programhip hop candy on mtv base), i also know a white girl who's a heavy singer who can riff like a gospel queen but she's been told she'd be better off singing pop coz she won' b acceptedconfused3

caucasians and the candy girls are way over represented on the hip hop videos. If there has to be hip hop videos then that maybe a good thing because we dont necessarily need natural Nubian women in the videos acting like prostitutes instead of the candy girls.

In the United States the same over representation occurs in the modeling.
