Why the focus on light skin, white, asian, or indian? There are as many shades of Black as there are flavors of icecream. All the races want to be like us, look like us, imitate us, dress like us, dance & sing like us, and wear thier hair like us which is do diverse its impossible for them to do!
You have to be blk to be BLACK!...which by the way ladies is beautiful. Never let a man define who you are. Self love is the key!
Its 2005, we really need to stop with the Im not good enough for the brotha because Im too dark myth!.....ever think hes not good enough for you?
Sistaflyinsolo (really married) but keepin her wings....just in case I need to fly away!........

Well I can think of many negative affects of interracial marriages:
(the most important being)
1. It drains the Afro-American community of MONEY. The interracially married AA now spends money on his or her White/Asian/Indian wife instead of a fellow Afro-American. Look at Kobe Bryant for an example
2. Many children born to non-Afro-American women have duel loyalities. They respect/look after White/Causiasian causes just as much and if not MORE than Afro-American ones.
________________
The time has come for us to start STREGNTHING our community not DIVIDENING IT! We need to start focusing our attention on making ALL Afro-Americans properous and rich!

Sistaflyinsolo,
Currently,my brother is dating an older Eskimo woman. With this he was more concerned about what we would think about her age more than her race( as I've dated a Pakastani ). He's also dated a White Russian woman, but most of his loves were AA women. I want my brother to be happy and for all of us to be happy and if her feels that his girlfriend is the one for him, I will respect his choice to the fullest. Far as my brother, you'd be suprised of the intial thoughts of IRelationships. He was never against them whatsoever, but thinking about the OJ trial, made him NOT to date outside of his race, particularly a White woman, but he realized that seen more in some women than theri color. I've never heard him dis Black women in my life and he don't look a White or no other non-Blacks any higher than he would a Black woman. as a matter of fact, he pays the highest homage to them. No his girlfriend isn't Black , but it doesn't mean he's out of touch with his own women.
