Black History Month

in England whe are celebrating Black History Month what has your school, six form/ college done to recognise that?

Last year nothing because we have 1 black teacher in the school and the previous year she was away on maternity leave and the school said that we couldnt do anyhing because it was rasict to all the other non Black culters. This year thank the lord she is back and we are managing to have 1 assemberly about it - however i fell that just one assembery isnt enough. So whats you school doing for BHM? and if nothings what thier excuse and what are you going to do about it?

We've got a talent show and a culture night.... my college is majority black people.... we've got lots of other little events too but those are the main ones.

My school done one assembly - and that wasn't based on anything to do with black people achieving, it was about where do you put the mixed race person, in the white column or the black column. The thing was, the person they chose as "mixed race" was 100% black, just a lighter shade :?At least in primary school, they dedicated a whole month to black history MONTH and not 15 minutes.
