I've been to some many auditions to do with Acting, modelling and things like that and it's hard. I have been to an auditon when you stand in a line and the castng director picks out who he/she wants. And it is never the black People to play the good role. It's normally the white girls. Blackpartswell..It's always in the background or just not very good parts. e.g Servant or criminal. Have you watched Harry potter? How many black youths do you see roaming around in the background. Yet no one actually has a main part. Black people are just as talented. :P

I'm a black girl and it's so hard to get through sometimes. Seriously. Just look on t.v. . Look at the adverts. It's only ocassionally you will see black people starring in them. e.g the A.A insurance adverts.

I'm starting to feel that the only way i will beable to get anywhere i want to is by either '' becoming dead skinny and malnourished and join the black kids on the oxfam adverts'' Or '' Getting roles as '' The poor black woman with no money'' or '' The black girl ivolved in drugs that get shot''

It;s like they can't get out of the sterotype. I'm 15 and i am quite upset about this. I would like to know your views and to see if there is anyone that feels the way i do.

Just stick at it trust me.... if its meant to be it will be.... i have a friend who has had roles in grange hill and Holby city and he's only a lil older than you... don't give up!

i'm 15 and am probably one of the best singers at my school. i have always wanted a solo but i never get picked, it's always the skinny white girl who can't hold a single note! the music teacher always looks at me like dirt! oh the injustice! sorry just had to get it off my chest.

youppl keep forgeting that we in a white mans turf, they wana see eachother on t.v 80percent of roles will always go to the white woman thats standard infact in the uk its really hard for blk models to get roles compared to the u.s due to the fact that uk dont have blks that are well established in media and fashion i mean how many blk owned clothing lines here even pay thier models very few they gonna tell you some crap like atleast we helping you add more photos to your portfolio ,fool like im gonna feed on having some crap photo on my portfolio selfish baggers

dunno if this is off topic but i also noticed that those black people that do get parts and stuff always tend to parts as how people see 'typical black people'. and never nothing different. For example in Harry potter all the kids are White middle class but what happened to the black kids cant they play middle class parts too?
