I wouldnt like too say who was the best leader then, but id have to say i think Malcolm would be the Perfect Leader in this day and age, as he would be a Great and Strong role model to the Black male youths of today to look up too, for which were generally lacking!!

Actually, I should be afraid to say anything at all since the moderator and other members make it their personal mission to personally attack the intelligence of the people who dont have the same opinion as they do.
Intimidation and insecurity strike back with insult and interrogation.

@Faery1. Sis let's be fair nobody is attacking your intelligence per se, but how you come to paritcular conclusions. You are a scientist, hence nobodies fool. I mean in all fairness if you say someone stands for hate, surely you must have sufficient evidence whether in the world of physical or whatever science social or law...Both you and I know that.
So nobody attacking just for the sake of it. Come on play the game....

To be honest Fredblack, I dont think anyone on here is interested in how I come to my opinion. They continually insult and assult everything I say as well as me personally. If I post anything which I have put any thought behind, I can expect to see some terrible post from Kunjufu as well as perhaps another will insult my intelligence, say I am ignorant, or that I am only in support of white ideologies. I am not terribly motivated to argue and neither do I have the strength to really get up and say anything about it as I already have darts in my back.
I think it is really shitty how this whole forum seems to be extremely biased towards what the moderator thinks and if someone like me has an opinion out of line with the moderator, they will go out of their way to personally attack and then allow others to do so as well. If I just be "good" and agree with the moderator, I suppose that will buy me brownie points as I see the immense amounts of praise that.. as long as they go along with what the moderator thinks, they dont have to "defend" their opinions as vigorously as I am expected to.
If I were someone else and saw the posts made towards me by moderators, I wouldnt choose to come on this forum for fear of personal attack.

@Faery1. Thinking as scientist you know very few things happen in a vortex or isolation. Unless you assume the people involved are just bad minded and wicked and I think there are very few people on the planet who are just simply wicked and badminded. Even those who behave in that manner on occassion.
I disagree when you say:"To be honest Fredblack, I dont think anyone on here is interested in how I come to my opinion".
Disagree big time because I for one and plenty others are as much interested how you come to your conclusion as the conclusion itself. A person who shares your outcome or views without you knowing how they come to it, is for me more concerning than a person who disagree, but whose disagreement and how they come to it is transparent.
In any group there are people who want to hear things which are reinforcing or supporitive which is human behaviour. No newspaer publishes letters which predominantly criticises them, but a few to show they acknowledge dissent. But that does not mean people do not respect different views or outcomes, but is contigent I have found in your reasoning and how you link things together in a way which is enligtening.
You do yourself and others a misjustice if you actually believe what you have said. Black folk ain't ignorant and not the world I live in...

Travellar & feary1: Sorry but I need to remind you both that this thread is about leadership on a Macro level.. Therefore I'd be grateful if you could keep on topic or start a thread elsewhere. I will address you Feary1 in full on a separate thread.

Both Malcolm X and Martin Luther King were great leaders. They both had their own way of doing things but they wanted equality for blacks and for all. I am a Malcolm X fan but I think that he was changing right before he was killed.

Who was a better leader for Black people; Malcolm X or Martin Luther King?

Thats the most unfair question ever to be asked on blackchat as it creates division amongst blacks especially black muslims and black christians. These 2 guys and countless others (dead or alive)were good people and should never be 4gotten in history.

All the things that come of your racially mixed confused ass are series of smelly garbage that should be thrown back in your ugly face. According to you, just cos u r part black does not mean you can relate to black. That does not stop you coming to blackchat to engage in conversation with people you cannot relate to. I would continue to remind youthat this is black space and views of mainstream blackchatters should be respected and guidelines of this site should be adhered to as well. If you dont like what you see, go to mixedfolks.com that caters for whites and other interracialism bullshits. Stop playing the sympathy card as u would not get any sympathy from any fully black person at this site on the basis of white/interracialism agendas you continue to foster in this black space.

I don't think its best to play one off on another. The two people named had unique qualities, views and methods and therefore were not in conflict for the same audiance. It is best to remember, and value, both for their contributions, real and perceived, to the advancement of black people in the Unites States. There is room, as has been shown here already, for a long list of exemplary people who strove for the personal and collective growth of black people. I would like to nominate Thurgood Marshall.

Good point. We are looking for black leaders now. Instead of dwelling in the past do something now. If you feel you have something to contribute to move the black race forward then join us at http://www.theguidedog.com/BlackNation.html
