You tell a friend a secret and expet her or him to keep it to them self. Then you find out that all of your over friends know about you problem. So why has your friend told yur other friends for?

That is just how some people stay, when you look at it EVERYONE chats but some are more malicious and some just chat to more people than others.
If you have seen this now, then learn to keep certain business to yourself.
One person i can recommend is God because when you pray nobody will ever come back and tell you what you have said.
Peace~

We all need someone we can share little secrets with... and the best people to talk to are passive people, but even then what you say should be ambigous. Fortunately you have learnt that people want to have something to talk about.. and if you tell someone something you know, they enivitablyhave to tell someone else coz it makes them look interesting..
So if ever ya gonna tell a secret, tell it as though someone told you the secret...ie, a friend from work... that way, it hasno interest for them to tell other people coz they don't know the person and if they did atleast they know it had nothing to do with you..... even though it may have...
However remember this.. if you treat something as being secret it has more value than if you shout it from the roof tops (if ya get my meaning)and don't give a dam.. Or the best thing to do with secrets is... forget about it! - Don't get involved either with yourself or with others on the issue. Put it to the back of your mind and get on with life.
Life is good really, it's just how you view it.

@All. Lots of good wise stuff here. Particulalrly like what Menzer has said. But most of these things are actually in your control to a very large degree, minus the X factor for unpredictable human behaviour.
Secrets as such give people power over you and if you limit the things people have over you, secrets for the most part have no leverage. Of course there are always things which are out of your control of sensitivity which you may share with people.
But it is your judgement and control about who you decide to. So if you choose fools or trust people lightly, or do not seriously consider your actions then you are opening yourself to all kinds of things and you only have yourself to blame.
My mother had an old saying to never give somebody something to hold which is to heavy for them to carry. Some people do not trust themselves, and will talk even if they do not mean to do harm, because they are that way inclined and live and think for the moment.
But also we live in an illusion that we have to tell all or speak about everything we know, which is a fallacy.

My question is "Why do you feel the need to tell YOUR 'secret' in the first place?"
I can understand if someone accidently found out something you were trying to keep hidden and then they tell it to all and sundry........that is most certainly disloyal and disrespectful. But if you have something which cannot be known unless you reveal it why would you bother to? For one thing you are putting the onus now on someone else to keep to themselves something you could not keep to yourself in the first place.
Just playing devils advocate here folks

its a social condition among people to talk about each other.thecondition of genism, its also attributed to bourgoiseness, eccentrism, egotism and gentrism and other similar properties
genism is a term denoting the human element.it states that humans areof the same nature but have diferent characteristics.
genism is the root of all natural phenomenon like hate, jealousy, envy, coruption, phobia, racism, prejudi ce,good and evil.
people communicate to each other about each other either in depise, out of contempt or in appraisal.this goes to an extent that people who dont know you will still talk about you or mention something about you.
genism is detrimental to us based on the resulting issues like spite, malice, descrepancies, division, and negativity in general,at the same time its beneficial to us in terms of unity, enlightenment, succes and satisfaction.
so next time when someones betrays you and your secret or someones talking petty about you, dont just critisize but also be wise and acknowledge the condition.
like i said before humans areof the same nature but have diferent characteristics.for those who social genism is not pertain to them they are in the realm of ingenism,or commonly they are known asingenous.
thast why in society we have theimportance of gentry, aristocracy, diffrent classes, races, creeds, colours, size, gender, weight,he ight, accents, dialects, beauty, ugliness and all other diffrences among and around us.its all genism.
please note
anology of anogram

I find it hard to keep secrets, becouse those secrets are just so taste you know.. and you just want to let all the rest know that you know the secret, or that you know something. And that after a while you regret the fact that you told someone.. Ive been there and done that. And its a good way to get through the day, you know like when you got nothing to say.. you got that secret where you can have a long conversation about.

One thing I learned throughout ma school years was to not trust anyone but myself. I found that things were easier once I applied that rule to myself. I didn't feel the need to share my business with anyone, and for the first time in a while, my business wasn't plastered around the school like it normally was. People chose to tell me secrets (i never exposed em) but I never used to return the favour. I just couldn't after a while cause I felt like I couldn't trust anyone, and couldn't be bothered to deal with the aftermath. It's hard to find a "true" friend. One that won't stab you in the back occasionally, or chat your business. I would advise you to not tell anyone your business (at skool) just goin by my experience....unless you KNOW you can trust them, and you KNOW they would never chat your business. I know you might want sum1 to talk to, I've been there, and u just feel like talkin to sum1 about it and hopin it will stay between you....well, unfortunately, this doesn't happen as much as it should do. In the end I found out I had 1 true friend. I had sum1 close "2nd" lol, but only 1. Some people will leave school not havin any true friends.
People always talk about other people, it's the way the world is. lol talkin about people is what makes magazines and entertainment shows about celebs lives. Not saying it's a good thing...but it's all part of society. No matter where you go in life, or what you do, chances are there will be someone who's said somethin about you. I wouldn't advise you to tell any more secrets about yourself to these people, cause they obviously can't b trusted to keep them.

Men can't keep secrets.??..Its not co-incidence that The "Masons" are all Male and how many of the rest of us know of their activities behind closed doors?
As for Females the old joke is......A Secret is something that a Woman tells just one person about ........thats also why it was said "Women should never go about in "Threes" as soon as one leaves their Company the remaining 2 chat about her....I've seen a great deal of evidence of that....

Another old phrase that has stood the test of time....."An eavesdropper only hears bad things about themselves".....unpleasant but,invariably,true..........the sad truth is if U R good at something and very competent no-one says anything as that is expected(particularly if U R getting paid for your "competence").....if U foul up then listen up..the sound is deafening from ALL quarters.....
