To all the Black youth, my brothers and sisters-D not be afraid, or ashamed of who you are, to know who you are, and to make the rest of the world know who you are!

It is so important that you educate yourselves, read, write, communicate what you learn amongst yourselves, abbout yourselves, about who you are, about your history. Do not neglect to LEARN EVERYTHING YOU CAN ABOUT WHO YOU ARE AS AFRICANS AND AS PEOPLE OF AFRICAN DESCENT, AND DO NOT NEGLECT TO LEARN EVERYTHING THAT HAS BEEN DONE AND IS BEING DONE TO YOU.

Do not EVER let anyone tell you that you should forget slavery, that it is in the past, that you should get over it, that you are the reason for your condition, that it is okay to dilute yourself by integrating with those who have oppressed you-Because it is NOT in the past, it is NOT over, it is NOT okay. And it never will be EVER, until you know inside and out who you are, and who THEY ARE.

I am not telling any of you to hate anyone, or to seperate from anyone, or cut yourself off from the rest of the world. All I am telling you is that WE as a PEOPLE have fallen too far behind for to long and we are beginning to forget and neglect our history and ourselves.

THERE IS NOTHING GOOD OR ENDEARING ABOUT THE WORD '******'. I DON'T CARE HOW YOU PRONOUNCE IT, SPELL IT, WRITE IT, OR WHO ELSE SAYS IT. ERADICATE IT FROM YOUR VOCABULARY AND YOUR MIND, AND REFUSE TO TOLERATE ITS UTTERANCE BY ANYONE!

HALF OF YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO RICHARD B. MOORE IS!

DO YOU KNOW? AND IF YOU DO, THEN WHY , WHY, WHY, DO YOU CONTINUE TO USE THIS HORRIBLE, EVIL, DECADENT , DEGRADING WORD!? YOU SHAME YOURSELVES AND YOU SHAME THE MAN WHO SPENT HIS LIFE, WORKING TO ERADICATE THAT WORD FOREVER!

Go find and read the book 'The name NEGRO" It's Origin and Evil Use'. READ IT! AND LEARN!

In this post are several links. I encourage you all to visit them, and others you find along the way. Don't just 'browse', LEARN! Go out and read the works of these people, and find other books and read them. Obtain the speeches of Malcolm, and Dr. Ben, and Dr. Clarke, and Phil Valentine and LISTEN TO THEM.

ALL THROUGH SCHOOL I WAS PUZZLED ABOUT LEARNING ABOUT HENRY 8TH, THINKING TO MYSELF WHAT HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH ME? THEY TEACH YOU NO BLACK HISTORY IN SCHOOL, SO ALOT OF PEOPLE DONT KNOW, UNLESS THEY HAVE STRONG PEOPLE AROUND THEM, AND TO HAVE A STRONG PERSON IN THESE ROOMS, I KINDA FEEL SAFE. I FELT LIKE PEOPLE WERE ATTACKING MAYBE BECAUSE I WAS TO BOLD, TO TRUTHFUL, EVEN THOUGH I KNEW NOT MANY PEOPLE WOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT, WOULD LOOK AT WHAT I SAY AND MAYBE HATE ME. @ Soul Machine. I'm not being funny but I cant really see a diference to the kids bought up in Africa n the ones bought up over here. Because I've got a lot of friends who have come over or who came over in their secondary school days and they go on just like the ones that have been bought up here. dont really wanna focus on the negitavity bu they all act the same.

I like this post.. But may I add that the youth are influence by what they see... Especially from their elders... and the message I think should to be heededby elders too.

You never stop learning.. There is a generation of black people post the days of riots who have turned their backs on their history... Forgetting that many loved oneswere lost to even get us here... we could be still inphysical chains right now if it were not for people who knew their history and stood up for it.

Now things are more physcological and not physical slavery.. we must learn to deal with that, but we cannot deal with it until we learn our pass and how and why we are subjected to such evil crimes by people outside the community.

clp)Great thread... more please...

Anh ah...wait. Stop.

Let me make it perfectly clear that you should not mistake what is said in the post.-To ALL BLACK YOUTH.

Ity does not matter where you are, where you were raised or brought up. That is the first big mistake we make, but just then you make a distinction between one of you 'here' and another of you 'there', and that is not unity, but division. That is not love of yourself , but bias against yourself, and that is what your oppressors have counted on you to do all this time-That is how they have taught you to think about one another, and you think that way because you cling to ideas and ideals and ideologies that have enothing to do with you. When you begin to open yourself up to more and more learning about yourself and your culture, your people and ultimately yourself, at some point, you will see through all those ways of thinking about yourself that are harmful-When I say, 'yourself', I mean, each and every one of US; Bootyprincess I thank you for your reply. I feel so good to know that I myself am not alone as well as you all do.

Again, I don't want you to think by this that what I am telling you is that you should be angry and hate white people-NO. What I am saying is that you must educate yourselves, one another, and ultimately everyone, no matter what ethnicity or race, about who we are as a people.YOu don't have to be angry or violent or protest-Just be who you kjnow you are and do your best to educate and learn. Don't make distinctions between yourselves. When you've listened to Malcolm in what he says you'll understand better, and later I will quote from one of his speeches on this point. I cannot at the moment as I am on a neighbors computer.

Nor does it mean that you should neglect to learn about other cultures and peoples as well. Knowing ou are important still does not cancel out everything and everyone else.

The more you know of who you are and your history, the better able you are to deal with any distractions or distortions, and also to educate others yourself.

Correct!

That is not love of yourself , but bias against yourself, and that is what your oppressors have counted on you to do all this time-That is how they have taught you to think about one another, and you think that way because you cling to ideas and ideals and ideologies that have enothing to do with you.

Correct again!

When you begin to open yourself up to more and more learning about yourself and your culture, your people and ultimately yourself, at some point, you will see through all those ways of thinking about yourself that are harmful-When I say, 'yourself', I mean, each and every one of US;

Correct!

Again, I don't want you to think by this that what I am telling you is that you should be angry and hate white people-NO.

Correction -you shouldn't hate them for being white it's an incident of birth, but you should hate the hate, destruction and suffering they cause in the world.

What I am saying is that you must educate yourselves, one another, and ultimately everyone, no matter what ethnicity or race, about who we are as a people.YOu don't have to be angry or violent or protest-Just be who you kjnow you are and do your best to educate and learn.

Totally incorrect - YouMUST be VIOLENT whenever they are violent with you, in fact sometimes you should initiate violence.

Only fools whowork for thewhite manwant to tell you thatyou shouldn't be angry with your oppressionand that you shouldn'tbeviolent.

Whites and others never hesistate to use violence to defend their interests. Never Ever listen to anyone who tells you not to be violent. Just make sure you are violent sophisticatedly. When you are outnumbered walk away - but organise yourself todish out payback.

That's what we did in the 70s and eighties we fought these b**tards at school and on the streets. And now they know not to come f**king with us.

That's why you can go to school in relative safety today, back then we fought huge skinheads punkrockers football racists -we fought everyday.

Check the Asian communities here, who they always mess with. Not blacks coz we know how to kick ass.

Your gang is a small military unit - THAT'S POWER - use it to kick ass don't let any fool tell you the gang is bad thing. When Black menhave figured out how to harness the power our sons gangs and unite themwe will be ready.

Nor does it mean that you should neglect to learn about other cultures and peoples as well. Knowing ou are important still does not cancel out everything and everyone else.

Correct

The more you know of who you are and your history, the better able you are to deal with any distractions or distortions, and also to educate others yourself.

Absoulutely!

Thank you run for clarifying some points here. There reason I did not outright say thatBlack youth should go out and kill whitey is because I realise that the impact of all truth in acquiring knowledge about Black History, for a Black person, has a tendancy to PISS YOU OFF ONCE YOU REALLY GET IT.

It is so ocerwhelming, especially for our youth, that they might take that anger and use 'violence' incorrectly-When it is not necessary and not warranted and wholly unstrategic.

So you are absolutely right about kicking ass when and where one should, but no you certainly shouldn't just for its own sake.

Once again-Thank you.
