I really really really want to get into modelling seriously. I've done little bits and pieces and have had quite alot of my photographs published in magazines but although I'm with a local agency th big stuff just aint happenin!!! I'm only 5"6' which means the big agencies aren't interested.

Does anyone know of any good agencies who take on shorter models???

If you've really got what it takes try Storm models- www.stormmodels.co.uk. They tend to take people on that are not always 5'8 and over.Look out forSuzannah on the site, she models for la senza and others and is 5'7.

MY SIS USED TO MODEL , JUST GOTTA FIND THE RIGHT AGENCIES THATS ALL, THA MISTAKE MOST PEOPLE MAKE IS THAT THEY THINK THEY ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO BE MODELS , I THINK THE SCOUTS SHOULD LOOK FOR YOU THEN THEMSELVES, DONT JUST WAKE UP ONE MORNING AND SAY I M GONNA BE A MODEL.OR JUST FIND THE RIGHT AGENCIES THAT WONT CHEAT YOU.

I would try nevs or ugly rage. Just google either. You never mentioned if you want to do editorials or fashion or glamour or in-house or portraiture???????????

I really wanted to model and i was approached by some of the major agencies in the business when i was 16 and they said that they would love to take me on if i grew a little taller. I am 5ft 6 inches and i never grew any taller. I was told that they like there black girls to be at least 5ft9 and aboveconfused3.

I am a fair bit older than 16 now and i think that things may have changed slightly in the modelling industry now. Not all the black girls out there seem all so tall. There are black models in the storm website who are 5ft7 tall.

Good luck with it all.
