I disagree. The whole metrosexual gay thing is a very western first world concept. It is here in the west, that gayness is so accepted and widespread that gayness is assumed when men comment on another man's looks.
I can't speak for the Carribean, but in Nigeria in my experience when men comment on another man's looks, they are not immediately considered gay. Gayness just isnt
thatvisible and accepted, so it isnt the first thing that pops up.
